I just put in my order a few days ago. Please let us know when/if we can upgrade our order to V3. Also, is airflow an issue for cooling the tranny with these installed?

Question for those with both plates... Do y'all think it's OK to jack the truck up on the middle of the center crossmember with the plates installed? Need to rotate the tires and am trying to decide how best to jack up the front end. Or should I do one side at a time, on the frame rails?

Not sure that's the best idea even with no plates installed; but if they're steel they'll present a slippery surface, and if aluminum they may lose integrity as the weight rests on them. You may jack the front of your truck up in a sense not intended...

OK, just wondering. Several things I saw online said to use the horizontal crossmember on a Tundra.

I would never recommend someone lifting the truck this way, BUT, one a 3/16 steel front skid plate I installed, we did test it. We put the jack directly under the center post and jacked the front end up until both front tires came off the ground. We were curious and again, I don’t recommend it

No, do not jack the truck this way. The best way to rotate tires is to use jack stands. Be safe!

I think he's wondering how to get it up onto the jack stands? If plate is up tight against cross member at rear bolt area, I would put a 4x4 block on jack and lift at cross member and put on stands , then do rear. Don't lift rear first and then front!!!

I wouldn’t worry too much about Andrews proper. Very clean, safe, quiet base for the most part. Once you leave the front gate (or back), well…the entire area becomes a third world nation, especially around the Waldorf area. Or if you go to Bolling. Best part of being stationed there was seeing it in my rear view mirror.

@Classy63 could you check if order#R318832697 is coming down the shipping lane? Very much appreciated!

Thanks for the quick response. That being said, is it too far along to make them the V3? I’m good either way, just wanted to ask.

Tyler, I am looking on your website and don't see a difference in the cat shields? Is a pic of the V3 on here or am I missing something?

I have drawn up V3, it isn’t on the website yet, the people messaging me are getting on a list to have me potentially change their order to V3.

Side note, someone is coming by Friday so I can measure to make the 2wd part of the V3

@Classy63 - Ordered in late January so I know I'm still a way off from shipping. I ordered front and rear steel plates and interested in the added protection of the V3 2WD rear plate. I'll PM the order #.
Huge props for what you have started, and for continuing to evolve the design.

I've read and reread the posts.
I don't understand what the V3 difference is.
I thought it just provided access for fluids to the transfer case.
    Being I have a 2WD, do I need that?
    I mean, I know I don't have a transfer case.

What are the other benefits to the V3?
I ordered a month ago so I'm guessing I could change the order if I need it.

    Someone help this dummy out..

The V3 once designed will give a raised lip on the back of the rear plate for is 2wd trucks.
