Yeah, we had to be careful of what juice we vaped. We went with a medical grade juice. When the company folded I quit vaping.

funny part is, my wife could careless about that type of stuff which is good since i can get away with a $40 Amazon fixture rather than spending hundreds on a name brand....my house was built in '88 and the fixtures were original. I had the new ones sitting in the garage for months waiting on time to install.

The amazon one was actually pretty nice, have had them in my vacation home for a few years and they are solid.

I hated the recess lighting that was in my house when i got it, never been a fan, I always felt like you dont get good light spread with those. I ended up installing LED cover panels that plug into the light socket within the recess lighting, pretty clean and way cheaper than redoing it completely.

lol totally, if she wants it, do it. Great way to keep the questions about truck mods to a minimum lol.

I have been working on the house here and there in the couple years we have had it. The bones of the house are really good, PEX, ducting, AC, Furnace, double pane windows, carpet, hardwood floors are all new from the last 5 years. Its all the cosmetic stuff that is in need of some love. I still have the white 80's bathroom tiles in my kitchen lol. When i saw how much contractors were wanting for a kitchen remodel, i said to myself I am going to spend a few months on youtube university and learn how to do it myself. If I can work on a truck, i should be able to knock out some cabinetry, i mean, its only right angles, right?

I quit more times than I can count. I finally had help. I could not smoke and breathe.

I did smoke for about 2 years with difficulty breathing. I'm a knucklehead.

October will be 40 years since I quit.

I quit smoking in the military many moons ago in SoCal (1997)I just stopped. No rhyme or reason. It just didn’t make sense with the requirements of the military.

So I started chewing again, and stopped cold turkey. It was all about money. When chew got to 5.00 per can I was starting to stop. I only chewed at work. Kinda weird. I would chew at home but didn’t but once in a while. My cans were left at work and would dry up. Usually I would toss cans away all the time. Finally, the financial outweighs my work boredom. I just stopped.

Funny, work is my problem too. When I'm home I'm so busy with kids and stuff, plus I don't want to have the stench on me. I know it's bad for them.

Glad I never got into chew. Something tells me I would do it more than smoking since I could sit st my desk and do it....

For me it was who I hung out with at work. You are the average of the five friends you hang out with. Hang out with five guys that cheat on their wife’s, you will be the sixth (most likely). You hang out with more successful friends that motivate, you will be the 6th.

How many of your friends smoke at work?

I'm not kidding when I say I literally could not breathe, not really something to be proud of, doing something until it almost killed me.

But I'm glad now I don't smoke. Cigarettes are freaking expensive! I lived in Hawaii when I quit, they were .80 cents a pack in L.A. & 1.80 on Oahu.

As a X-smoker (but currently vaping) I have quitted Smoking 3 times and vaping once. I can say ordering a large bundle of Gum of any flavor (doesn't need to be nic gum, mine of choice is "5 mint") is the best way to keep the oral fix away and maybe fiddle with the wrapper some ;) I was a Cigar and (other) smoker since I was 16 by the time I was 18 or 19 I was heavy into cigarettes a pack a day of 100's all the way till I was 26. My family tried getting me to switch vaping at the time but it was still new with a lot propriety equipment and never had the good drag sensation that smoking a cig would give me. So I bounced back and forth until I started working a high physical demanding trade. One thing I noticed was there was two types of the olds I worked with the ones who where still smoking and sounding like they were dying and the ones who either quite or moved to vaping. So I asked them which set ups they had and my issues I had in the past to recommend what I should get. I made a successful switch to vaping on 6ml nic with in a few weeks I felt so much better and healthier as my job requires carrying materials all over up and down sky scrapers and a lot of stairs. After 6 months to year of vaping I dropped down my Nic level to 3ml (for reference a cigarette is normal 16-18) then the vaping apocalypse happened so me and my buddy decided to quite vaping for roughly 5 months before the hole C19 hit hard and after getting temp laid off due to the slowing of new construction I started loosing it and had to make the executive decision to relapse for everyone else's safety  I picked up a cigarette and forced my self to smoke it but couldn't it was so nasty then I found out the flavors were back and instantly started vaping again.

its a hard thing to do, stay strong. Gum helps with not knowing what to do. Vaping is still nicotine and isn't the salad vs big mac meal but more of just the big mac with out frys and a large drink. Vaping currently is the lessor of two evils with a good quality mod and tank if your a pack of day type after 1 month of buy in you'll be saving money, don't have to deal with smelling like a ash tray, will notice better cardio. Also is easier lower and consume less nicotine.

I’ve smoked since I was 16. Quit on my 40th last July and haven’t looked back. Started a new job where nobody smokes and definitely helped. Mind over matter is what I keep telling myself

I have a little to contribute. Try and stay occupied with something. That is currently helping me with my sobriety. Just over 6 weeks with out a drink and it feels great.

While on breaks at work, maybe try getting a book you might like reading, try and learn something new via youtube, or listen to documentaries. A lot of that has helped me pass the time.

Keep it up dude, we're all pulling for you.

Edit: Also, i remember hearing this not to long ago.. "Dont forget about your past, remember it to keep you accountable for your future."
