I just installed some new wheels and tires on my 2014 Limited CrewMax and I guess my traction control is not agreeing with the setup. The issue is when I run the RPM's up in 1st gear the traction control kicks in as soon as it switches to 2nd and doesn't turn off until I'm almost all the way through that gear. It also does this will all the nannies turned off completely.

I went from stock 275/55/20 to 305/30/26 with no issues at all, but when I downsized to 295/35/24 the issue started. I know I'm not spinning through second gear because I'm running Nitto 420s' and the traction they put out is pretty good.... and it's a "stock" motor.

Besides taking it to the Stealership, is there anything else I can do?

There's something here about the VSC system not liking other than stock set ups. A pain after a lift and bigger tires. A very good alignment got rid of most of my issues like this, but there are procedures for a VSC recalibration as well.

I'm out of warranty from Toyota, but I bought mine used at a local Chevy dealership and got an extended warranty. Guess I'll have to find the time to take it by there to see what they can do. Alignment on mine is pretty good with no shakes or pulling at all.

I'm not sure but it could have to do with the enormous wheels and super low profile tires. Sounds like very different symptoms than mine. There is no calibration for the vsc. The zero point calibration only adjusts the system for when you change the rake. You can have the dealership run techstream and hopefully it will find an issue. All it showed on mine was that the wheel speed differential was outside of the parameters telling the Trac that the truck is out of control and needs to save me. Putting stock wheels and tires back on didn't solve the problem. I've just had to learn to take the corners that I know of that set it off a little slower and when it happens on roads I'm not familiar with it's no big deal. It's annoying but isn't hurting anything. Yours sounds way worse, I'd get it checked out asap. Be prepared to have them tell you to put stock sized wheels and tires back on!
