Rear bed step up

Anyone purchase the rear step up from Toyota Part#

$256 PT39234140 Toyota BedStep®

PT39234140. I can get it for $216 plus tax from the dealer and think it might come in useful.

 

I haven't yet but I fully intend to install one. I'm always getting in and out of the truck bed and I think this will make that task much easier.

 

I have a 2014 long box standard cab. I bought one of these from AMPSTEP, direct from their site. It goes on the left rear, easy install.
They make them for other brands and models.
I believe they also make a model that is for the side(s) in front of the rear wheel well.
I suspect that AMPSTEP is making what you have posted or else Toyota is bootlegging them with a slightly different patent.

 

I bought this for my truck and love it. If it’s not made by amp research then it’s identical. Many believe that it’s the same just rebranded.

 

I like mine....bought it used for 150 from a member in here....I actually sit on mine...lol

 

After using one for a few months to get into the bed/tailgate, I'm greatly concerned at how small your ass is.

 

LOL I am like 5'7 150 lbs...

 

I never imagined how much I use this step. WELL worth it!

I cannot get myself to drill that many holes in my tailgate.
Aren't those spring pins supposed to be at the top so you can remove the ladder if necessary?

 

You can... I have them there so i can adjust the ladder longer to match the ground. And the drill holes are in the removable panel

 

Re: the pin clips, I assume by the photos you have a lift, I do not.
Still can't get myself to drill all those holes. LOL

 

Northern tool has one for 65.00 I couldn't drill either , so I just bought 4' 3 step ladder and slide it in bed , and can use it for washing and drying the truck as well,

 

That was one of my first mods on my ‘20 4x4 SR5 DC. I use it all the time.
It’s $205 at McGeorge Toyota in Richmond, VA. Maybe your dealer will price match.
