Looking to level my tundra 2.5 inches in the front. I have read about the good and bad, ie tears in CV boots etc. Questions are is it better to go with the Bilstein shocks versus the strut spacers and is it necessary to do the diff drop at 2.5 inches. Some kits come with the drop hardware and some dont. Appreciate the assistance.

5100s are better than the spacer lifts in all regards. Read guide to different lifts in the suspension forum here. Lots of review of different setup in that forum too, 5100s, 6112, 8100s, OME, Dobinsons, Eichbach Pro truck 2.0 and Toytec lifts. Lots of good lifted coilover options that will be an improvement over stock and not cost several thousands of dollars.

You should not need diff drop for 2-2.5 lift up front.

    Some.
Look more into a proper lift. That way, if you buy spacers, you will already know what to order to replace them.

its a thorough topic but is worth the read and its also a circumstance of you get what you pay for. spacer lifts on $50,000 vehicle makes me cringe :annoyed:
