Looking back at my Amazon orders:
    $60 Kilmat
    $15 Rollers

There's no odor with the Kilmat. The results were well worth the effort. I only did the floor of my supercab, and I used up the 36 sq ft package. You will need more to do the back wall and doors. Wear gloves and cut with a sharp utility knife on a scrap of wood. Use a scratch awl to probe for bolt holes. There are good how-to youtube videos. Show us pictures when you're done.

Which GORhino running boards are these. They seem to have a nice gap between the body of the truck and the step? How far do these stick out? Thanks.

Painted my chrome grill surround. Not an exact match but close enough to make me happy. I'll do the front and rear bumpers whenever I can get enough time and warm weather.

I use OEM part source, a lot of people use Sparks, or OEM dealer that will free ship to a dealer close to you if applicable. Really just put the part number in google and price check, continue to shipping with each company and see what is cheapest. Some parts might be more expensive and have cheaper shipping and some parts might be less expensive and higher shipping.

That is Tina the Turd; C. diff green to my colorblind eyes, and w a poorly tuned carb, runs rich and always smells.

1976 Fj40; 3rd owner; bought from a former ski/river guide about 1.5 years ago; paid a pittance for what the market is for them since he was happy the vehicle was going to another Cruiser head. OME suspension; 33s, full cage; Celica seats. Replaced the ignition w a DUI unit and replaced the clutch cylinders and she is a daily.

Was on the search for an FJ40 for years; my old man had a 67 after he got back from Vietnam and that was the one vehicle he said he never should have sold.

It'll be a teaching vehicle for my kids to learn the basics on and cut their teeth, so to speak.

So did you take the center of the grill off or just tape it off?

I took every piece off. Just a few screws and pull tabs, not too much to it. The main thing is to be patient when spraying and let it cure for atleast a couple days. I let it cure for 30 hours or so and when i went to put the grill back into the surround, some of the paint peeled on the edge because it wasn't cured yet.

To the guys with a pedal commander -

do you still press “tow haul” when towing? Or do you change setting on your pedal commander?

Is there any conflicting programming - does the pedal commander make tow haul redundant?

They do very different things. A throttle control adjusts the responsiveness of the pedal while tow/haul changes shift points. I'd still use tow/haul if you are actually pulling anything of weight.
One person mentioned that they use tow/haul and then turn the sensitivity down via throttle controller when towing their horses so its a smoother take off.

    Hope that helps

I am considering doing this to my chrome surround and bulge and maybe the panels directly under the headlights too since those take alot of abuse. I already have 1 small chip that pisses me off everytime I look at it.

Do you do the regular plasti dip first then the glosser?

Had a very small amount but hadn't installed the drain tubes before running it through a car wash. The only issue so far is there seems to be some kind of air pressure issue inside the cover that is blowing the provided bulkhead seal off of the top of the bed behind the cab. Not sure if there is an issue with the one sided tape on the foam seal not adhering to the spray on bedliner.

I'd recommend it. I clean off the chrome with alcohol and get a nice surface it to stick to just like regular spray paint. I did 5-6 coats of plastidip and 3 coats of glossifier after. 20-30 minutes between each coat.

Tow / Haul also changes the throttle response making it much more sensitive to input. I use it when driving in the hills to help with throttle response going up, and engine braking coming down. I use it when I Tow, I also use it when I want to Haul ass.

Nice! My Dad also had one around the same time frame. He was stationed in SD USAF and still talks about taking it up in the Black Hills trout fishing and wheeling. Says the same thing too 'never should have sold it'.

Anyone else have to glue the diodes to the housing for the Meso dome lite? As soon as I pushed the a selector button it would pop off. Had it clipped in there good but it wouldn’t stay.

Just got home from the Dealership. My Tundra is all fixed. If you didn't see my last post, the Main Harness had to be replaced due to a damn squirrel chewing on the Harness on the passenger side firewall. WARNING to all. Make sure your insurance covers rodent damage. The total price was...$9876.24:eek2: The break down is Labor $5984 Parts $3530.38 Tax $361.86. That was crazy expensive and luckily, I only had to pay my $500 deductible. I hope I never have to have this done again. Once again, make sure you are covered.
