Check first page on type's of harness. Do your current headlights have the LED DRL strip?

Got the @iHacker harness last night and have been attempting to install it this morning.

My 2015 SR5 has different wire colors than the ones referenced for deleting the amber DRL. I have multiple gray wires rather than the single gray wire shown in the instructions.

Initially I just counted the number of wires and began trying to de-pin the corresponding wire but that's been such a pain in the ass (30+ minutes) that now I want to make sure it's even the right one. Any suggestions?

    Soon...
I'd be more curious why the wires look burned...

They aren't, it's just the lighting. The one gray wire that's chewed up is from my attempt and depinning it

I may be wrong, and someone correct me if I am, but I believe that you have to unplug it and depin from the front of the connector (not the side where the wire goes in). Again, I haven't started my install yet, but I believe that's how it works.

Yes that's correct. I just put it back in place temporarily to take a picture in the same position as the one on the directions

Just count the wires it should be the 5th circuit wire and looks kind of chewed already in your picture, also you can use a test light.

The correct wire should be 12V (+) with just the ignition and parking brake ON, after releasing the parking brake the wire should be (-) Ground

Just finished my install using the ihacker harness. The biggest pain was de-pinning the grey wire. It took a little more force than I realized. I ended up using a large needle that came with my leather steering wheel wrap kit to release and a small pair of needle nose pliers with the ends wrapped with electrical tape to pull on the wire while I was using the needle. I almost gave up and just cut the wire. Overall this was an awesome product by @iHacker
    Thanks again!

Yeah that's what I did, worked out fine. Any reason you use heat shrink in some areas and electrical tape in others? That cheap electrical tape comes apart and gets gooey so I de-pinned some of the plugs and redid it with heat shrink. It would be nice if you used the heat shrink consistently

Can/would someone please help with a question??? Ok so I am getting ready to order my Sport headlights to switch over, I have the harness. Do I have to purchase the led parking and led turn signal bulbs if I want the whole thing to be LED?? and if I have to switch them and I do will that cause any problems such as hyper flash or any other thing?? I just want to make sure I have everything and I am in order so I can be organized to do this switch. Thanks in advance. Ken

    Yes to have all LED’s.

all depends on the LED’s. The parking/ side marker led will have no affect. The led turn might depending on the load it requires. All LED’s are different, adding to that, a lot of trucks act differently to hyper flash and different year models act different as well.

Well then that is something to think about. Anyone out there with a 20/21 that switched and put in LEDs in the parking and turn signals?? Anything happen?? And what brand would be good to get in the parking and turn signal ambers so no mishaps occur??:)

I have a ‘16 and upgraded to LED Pro lights. Installed VLEDS LEDs for my turn signals. They come with a module to prevent hyper flash. They’re great. Expensive, but great.

Which ones? Tritons or the others? Also did you get the resistors?

V6 Extreme. Yes, with resistors. (I said modules - couldn’t remember what they were called.) I installed them first w/o the resistors, and they did hyper flash. Threw the resistors on & worked great.

I applaud you guys that actually were able to de-pin the wire. I was running out of daylight and messed around too long so eventually said fuck it and cut it.

I don't want to booger up this thread, but I figured this would be the best place to ask. Has anyone had any issues with the halogen turn signal bulb(s) blowing? I've had this upgrade since the beginning and last week when turning on my left turn signal my flasher started going nuts. I finally got a chance to check it today and the socket did not look blackened, but the bulb was blown. I know some members on this forum spoke about this is in the past, which is why I gave the socket a good once over. I put in a new bulb, made sure it was seated, and nothing.
    Thanks in advance.

I have not. The only change to the wiring ever was in the beginning when we used to re-pin the one driver's side wire and hook up the Morimoto kit. A few months back I ripped all that out, re-pinned the wire back to the factory position, purchased the new PnP harness (here), and off I went.
