I have the "heated" symbol on the mirrors but no switch and unsure how they are work. Maybe they activate while using the heater controls but with global warming I have yet to test that out. Any input on how these work would be great....thanks!

My 19 Sport has the button as the last one underneath the Tundra script, after the Re-Circ and A/C button, I would think yours should be the same. :notsure:

Interesting, I do not have the top right defrost button as shown. The control panel is different for sure...I have looked for a button with that exact symbol...lurking around some say the defrost button will activate this so I may try that. Any other input is much appreciated!

The mirrors work with the rear defroster button.

I don't understand how that switch controls anything other then the mirrors, how does it de-frost the rear window?

CrewMax have defrosters for the rear windows. That's the button for it, and the mirrors are tied to it.

Don't know if DC have rear defrosters? Never really looked at them. I know some trucks don't have them, but do have the heated mirrors and they have a different icon on the button. Just the rectangle means rear defroster (and mirrors if equipped) but the trucks with only heated mirrors have this icon.

    I have a 2014 DC with a manual slider.
    No rear window defrosters...

Does the little heat symbol on the mirrors light up when it's on?

Yep, I put the truck in the freezer overnight to test it out and that's the button that does it (mirrors & rear glass). Little light on the button comes on as well to help warm the dashboard.

Tried the heated seats too, but that got a little too warm for me. I might want to have babies at some point. Guess the heated seats will have to wait until I get somewhere really cold.

One thing I learned the hard way about the rear defroster is that the window has to be up 100% for it to work. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why mine wasn't working and even had the Toyota shop check it out while I was there for another reason. Found out the window was barely cracked open and I couldn't tell as it was still well within the rubber seal. A "DUH" moment for me, but bet I'm not the only dumbass who's gotten fooled by this one!

The double cab does not have rear window defrost (lame), but the heated mirror button is still in the same place. You can see the symbol is a side mirror.
