Before you try the below idea, it's worthy of mention that Desert Does It was extremely accommodating as I requested they refund me for the seat jackers I removed from the passenger seat. I pointed out to them that there was absolutely evidence that they'd been installed, and they didn't flinch.

I can imagine jury rigging something to lift the seat up an inch. Loosen the rear bolts, remove the front bolts, raise the front of the seat, reposition the front bolts 1" high (under the seat bracket), rest the seat bracket back down on the bolt heads and gingerly, tenderly sit down on the seat. Position the seat via the electric controls as you like, and see if the resulting dimensions blows your skirt up. Maybe a tad crazy, but for future reference your source will continue to produce results with that quality.

I absolutely love that panel. It has saved me on road trips with kiddo a few times now, holding his tablet for movies.

Test fitted these “cam” style chains today from SCC. I’m greener than sh!t when it comes to tire chains. I plan to either zip-tie or wire back the extra links so we don’t cause any damage.

    Critiquing welcomed.

I’m running to NAPA to get some tensioners.

Leave 1 or 2 loose links and cut off the extra links. They do quite a bit of damage if left to swing and tying them up can easily get unhooked and be left to start swinging. Over time with use you'll stretch out the chains and you'll go from 2 links loose to 3 or 4.

If you're needing the chains to go downhill with braking them think about cross-chaining. Only on the rears does very little for stopping, so put 1 on the front (left or right doesn't matter) then 1 on the back on the opposite side (if you do left front, do right rear)

    Thanks for the reply!

I was worried about cutting links off in case I get 295’s or 285’s some day :spy:

My friend has a chain tool or something that he uses to add links and so on. Maybe I’ll just worry about adding links to these when bigger tires happen later on.

I’ve heard of people having clearance issues with chains on the front. I think this afternoon I’ll try them on the front just to see.

Here they are with the “Spider” style of bungee tensioners. I’m digging it. Pun intended.

I could easily see you having clearance issues (My 275/65R18 Toyo AT3's even rub at full lock right) so it's a last resort choice. I just remember from using them if I couldn't get up the hill, no big deal, if I couldn't stop going down the hill it's time for new drawers. All about the terrain you're using them in

10-4 on not being able to stop downhill and needing new undies. That’s what started this whole buying chains and stuff. When I got to the bottom I thanked God and told myself no more til I have chains.

I like that screen mod - don't think I can do it to my '21 though.

What are your impressions of the door handle overlays? Was thinking of replacing the whole handle with black, but the overlays might work.

When I first got them, I thought they were kinda cheap and flimsy, but they are growing on me. Nice thing is, they are only clipped on the front and held with 3M tape, so they are easily removed if I decide I don’t like them.
