Got my shell fuse box installed and wired properly, at least with brake and ground. Got my T tap built and installed from driver combo light with tap for brake and tap for reverse (for future DIR, maybe for backup cam too if I can't figure out how to tap the relay in cab). All rear lights work properly now, yay.

Going to Napa to get a 7/8 socket and get my old Curt hitch off, already yanked the OG tow harness. Then I'll be ready for bumper swap.

Going to do a custom DIR I think and just tap one side of the plate light plugs then split like Tacoma does, after the intercept, to left and right sides.

I didn't heat my seats. But that was my thinking about changing out the floor liners with black ones, it would darken the whole thing, I think, and remove one of the shades of gray. The door handles at least match the seat leather.

Did some research and couldn't find any threads about floppy ac registers. The two in the center head unit cluster will not hold in one place, and are so loose they end up aiming at the sky or floor. Ordered some Felt tape from the machine https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZBH3QIU?ie=UTF8
Just cut a few small strips and put them on the top and bottom by tilting the vent all the way up and then down. They are like new again and hold their position! Best part is you can't see the felt at all, so doesn't change the appearance.

Took off my curt class III hitch today. If anyone in so cal wants it, free. I'm going to assume everyone here already has one?

For the bumper removal, wires look obvious and I have shifty's DIR guide too, then it's just 3 bolts on each side? I might attempt that removal tomorrow. From there, I probably need a friend if I attempt to install the replacement. Not sure if it's supposed to re-use the factory bolts or use different ones, didn't come with much hardware.

@daveeasa I would reuse the factory bolts if they work for it. I remember adding a hitch to my truck in college and I spent more on new properly rated hardware than the second hand hitch! Can only imagine what it would cost today

It's a CURT rather than factory, their customer service is good and any carriage bolt would work too, they come with metal plates and washer, lock washer, nut.
Given that I snapped one and they are all rusty crusty, nobody in their right mind would attempt to re-use them.
The only ones which have to match thread size are the middle ones which bolt into the frame. Those could be re-used but I doubt two bolts would break the bank. I did package all of that stuff up.

    .... Light of my life

I have dark charcoal interior. Doesn't bother me a bit. I don't buy dark painted vehicles usually, living in the SE. Both of the graphite vehicles I hate were pretty rough to park outdoor in. But interior isn't an issue.

The agent I used to sell my “investment property” gives me a pie every year at thanksgiving from a tasty local bakery……… every year I say I need more of their business cards to hand out:$
I think that’s pretty legit, the one I used to buy my house, sends me stupid fridge calendars of the locals sports team(haha I’m not a sports watching* guy)

I’m at 5 and they all run and drive. 4 are paid off. 2 have liability only. Insurance is still a bitch on them.

I’m running empty lord style Home Depot black and yellow plastic bin for my straps and tools and such. At first I think I was sad to sacrifice 8’ bed space. I think I’d still prefer two small bins above the wheel wells. Or maybe some storage at the top of the front of the shell which would be organized. Perhaps I might attempt under headliner molle panels tied to roof tracks for racks. Hmm.

I didn't realize you got the new truck, congratulations!

Only two of my cars don't run. One is a days work away from running and the other is maybe 3 weekends away. If only I could find 3 weekends.
