New Purchase still in "inspection phase"

I am not really sure what the "inspection phase" entails, where it occurs, and most importantly how long it will take.

My sales guy stated, " As soon as the inspection phase is completed, which should be any day now, I'll have a firm delivery date".

Of course I start to think.......

• It is taking a while to get through the inspection phase because they are going through all of the issues that they are hearing about on the current consumer experiences (not a bad thing)
• Is it inspecting everything interior, exterior, cosmetic, mechanical
• My date has changed three times , with the third date being the 30th, which I thought was a firm date, guess I was wrong
• With the date being the 30th. I am guessing that if it is not on its way on the 27th, I am not going to see it before New Years due to the holiday.

Does anyone have any experience with "inspection phase"
