For those that want to watch, both lost traction. Gen 2.5 "won".

    Have a great day.

Dumb. 2.5 had noticeably wider, meatier tires. New truck had chicken sh*t stock highway tires. Of course the truck with better traction won.

for what it’s worth. I love my v8. I won’t be trading in for a while. But I’m not against change or innovation. But at least make a video comparing apples to apples.

    +1.
    Not an even match.
Silly pull test that proved nothing more than which set of tires had better traction.

Reminds me of that BS pull test Tesla did with the cybertruck and the F-150 where the cyber truck had wait on its rear wheels and the F-150 didnt.

This is where I’m at. I’ll take this one ‘victory’ over Gen 3 as this may be the only one Gen 2.5 gets aside from engine noise.

The 22 held until its tires hit the surface change and lost grip. Would like to see a redo where they both have good footing on the asphalt. Way to take some life off the tires though.

Just make sure he doesn't have the hybrid badge on otherwise he'll smoke you off the line at the light. As much as I'm a huge fan of the beast mode that second gen tundra's have... I really think this new one with the hybrid setup (when they get around to it) is gona be ballsy

Yep seriously thinking of getting the Harrop when I'm paid off. Might as well get the tune and stage 2 while I'm at it. Pay once, cry once.:spending:

Agreed with weight and tires comments.
There are other positives to the '21 vs the '22:

    shorter front end for visibility
    tighter turn radius
    higher axle ratings
    rugged simplicity
    most reliable current platform available
    more spacious cab
cheaper to repair (if ever even needed)
    bonehead simple to maintain
far more capable than rated (controversial)
drivetrain still a solid choice 14 years later

Are you saying the 2022s don't have 4.30 gears? (Tow package equiped, I would assume)

fuel mileage, 10 speed.. that’s why the ttv6 isn’t tuned to get 6 second 0-60’s. They don’t want people destroying the transmission lol

That's what the hybrid is for :D

Also noticed the extended range fuel tanks are down from 38 to 32 gallons. Which makes sense, given the improved fuel economy

True but just by nature of having all of that torque available instantly ought to help at least somewhat, unless they use computer wizardry to nerf any kind of hard acceleration in which case, what's the point of having all that torque available if you can't use it

It was pointed out to me that the 2019+ GMs with the 10 speed and 3.42s actually have a lower (better) first gear ratio than the second gen Tundras with the 6 speed and 4.30 gears.
