Maybe not. None of the Tundra before came with them. They were installed at the dealership as an accessory.

I thought I heard mentioned that the higher trim Tundras had electric folding running boards?

    Thanks for that!

Anyone know what the difference is between the base and max towing packages?

Sorry if I missed it, but are tow mirrors included in either package?

Looks like my sweet spot would be an SR5, DC, 4X4, 6.5' bed. If it didn't come with running boards then I'd add them and a bed mat, tonneau cover, roof racks and all weather floor liners.

My local dealer emailed me a copy. Its a couple months old, but still seems accurate based on all the current info being relased.

No mention of running boards of any type in it.

I know the US versions of Plat/1794 have power folding. They've been problematic on my F150. Need to lube/spray with penetrating oil to keep from seizing. Wouldn't want them again if keeping the truck more than 4 or 5 years. But they do deploy at the perfect step height which is nice.

The power running board is a $1350 factory option on Platinum/1794 in the US, I guess we will have more info when the Canadian configurator comes out on Dec 3.

I don't want or care about power running boards. I just want fixed running boards like I have on my 2012 Taco. My wife is 5'1" tall.
And I also don't want or care about power extendable/towing mirrors. I just want manual foldable mirrors that are big enough for towing.
Perhaps I'll have to go aftermarket for both?

Non powered running boards are dealer installed options, we will find out on Dec 3.

That would be my order package if and when I do. I had that exact setup on my 08 and on my 19, the rear seats are still plenty even for adults.

    Sweet as!
Although, if I recall, the 3rd gen provides reduced legroom in the rear seats.
However, I don't care because I'd buy a regular cab model if they still offered them. No kids, pets and few friends LOL.
If I don't buy a 3rd gen I will probably do just that and buy a 2.5 gen 2017 regular cab, 4X4, long box.

I've never seen a spec sheet before so bare with me. The SR5 Double Cab 4X4 is Model Code LA5DAT and Suffix B which would have black cloth seats, be available in Magnetic Silver Metallic (and some others), have a 32 gal gas tank, no power extendable mirrors and towing and payload capacities of 11,200 and 1885 lbs respectively.
Adding running boards, roof rack, bed mat and a tonneau cover would reduce my payload but I'd hope I'd still be above the 1500 lbs that I feel I need.

I think you have it correct. Net payload will depend on the weight of actual accessories purchased, obviously.

The 32 gallon is the largest gas tank, correct?

Yes. Converts to 121 litres. Current ratings show 19mpg mixed, so that's good for 972KM to a tank.

In the ordering guide, I see memory mirrors on Limited and Platinum, but no memory seats, not even on Platinum?

On the Toyota.com build site the Limited Off Road comes in those nice black wheels. From what I’ve read the Canadian Limited off roads will come in those not so great bicolor wheels. Anyone have the scoop on what they will actually look like? The black would look so much better!

All signs point to Canada getting the ugly 18" wheels. I keep hoping that its not true, but I'm pretty damn sure its true.

US Limited TRD OR gets 20” black wheels, we get 18” bicolor wheels

    Because Toyota Canada are idiots.

I'd be uprading to 16" or 17" wheels anyways. 18" - 20" are stupid for off road.

Only $160 to fill from empty at current Ontario prices, which is better than the current $190 from empty.

Good luck. The trend on new trucks seems to be to make the brakes too big for 17" wheels.

In such a case, I'll go as small as I can and with as large a sidewall tire as possible. I do believe current Tundras can go down to 17". Hopefully they didn't increase the brake suze on the '22s.

And no doubt the new tank will take just as long to squeeze in the last $10.

The Platinum and 1794 will have memory seats. I'm not sure about the Limited but if it did in 21 it will probably have it.

Anyone have experience using the bed storage boxes? If they'll be an accessory available once the Canadian configurator goes live I might consider them depending on feedback.
