Negative. I sprayed simple green, heavily and let it set for a half hour, keeping it wet, then scrub-brushed it, and pressure washed it a second time. Then let it fully dry out. When I pressure washed it, it did change the color of it, like I could see the dirty changing to clean. So I thought it was good to go. You think the laundry detergent bowl soak would do better?

Actually, no idea. I was hoping you would just test it for me, lol. You were super thorough. I'll try it on the 4R tomorrow while I work on the Tundra.

Cool. So you haven’t tried anything yet? I’m kinda hoping the detergent, or silicone spray is the secret. Otherwise fukt.

If I'm in the market for 4.56 gears, do I need the whole install kit or can I just buy the front and rear rings and pinions? I plan on having a professional install.

Hey bud, This popped in my head a couple months back and I decided to confirm if there was indeed one on our trucks . (Me: 05’ Dc) indeed there was one and I removed it like you said , just in case there was slight gain to be had. Obviously no real observable gains from it , no problems either .

Get the kit or maybe talk to the installer, sometimes it’s easier if they buy it all. Zuk does that here, it’s a hair more expensive but way less hassle of “do I have the right shims” or “that was the wrong spacer kit”

Better to have the whole install kit to do it night. The new ring and pinion will not space out the same as the old one.

So far the best deal I've found was $833 plus shipping front and rear 4.56 nitro gears complete install kit from a vendor using Google shopping last night. I don't recall the website. I was on a work computer

Finally have a working 3rd brake light and have the wires for a reverse light to be added too taped up for now. Thanks to @Puppypunter t harness I’ve been putting off installing. I used a 4 pin o2 sensor plug to make it easier to remove something if the need arises too.

Corners came with the headlights as a set or no? If you don’t mind pointing me to a link for them I’d appreciate it. My aftermarket Spyder headlights with black inside have started lense coating peeling badly so probably gonna splurge on a new set of OEM headlights but the corners are no longer available. Gonna have to go aftermarket amber-oem style or clear. Yours look great in this shot, thanks!

Yes it was a set with corners and fronts. Below is the eBay link.

Yea -- projector retrofit. Hope to have them done this week when I get some time. Clear corners were from eBay. They have been holding up pretty good, I think. I've had them for a year or so. The seller I bought them from doesn't sell them anymore, it doesn't look like.

Finished the video of installing the Torch add a leaf and axle shim kit.

Took some pictures in the rain. It's coming together.
