Hey guys I’m new to the forum. I’m going to see a used 2002 Tundra limited with 2WD and 118k miles. He’s asking $5300

Owner says it runs well and only needs a tuneup.

    Anything should be looking for?

For that price, if it's rust free, it's a good deal. It'll probably need more than a tune up though. And it needs a LOT of attention to that paint.

You would think they'd wash the truck before advertising it.

Take a good look at the undercarriage, or take lots of pictures of it and post it here for us to be the judge. If that thing is hiding a rusty frame you'll likely be better off walking away.

Tune up on a modern car or truck doesn’t exist. Be wary. Something could be amiss. I would drive it at least 15 miles to see if there’s a check engine light. Maybe even bring your own code reader to scan it in case the light isn’t operable. Modern cars have timing and fuel system parts that fail, not maintenance parts, other than plugs.
