Mod Edit: Due to the circumstances, OP having no prior issues with Staff or site, He has permission to sell items with being on the truck. Good luck and hopefully you can get another Tundra.

    Here was my 2018 CM.
    Tundra not wrecked.jpg

    Here it is now.....
Tundra wrecked side back.jpg Tundra wrecked back.jpg
    Tundra wrecked straight front.jpg

And here is what did it
    Tundra smasher.jpg

Now, insurance is generous enough to offer me 2k for all 26k of aftermarket parts on this truck. Curious if anybody has been able to pull of a parts sale before insurance takes possession of the vehicle. Progressive said it was fine as long as stock parts are put back on. Ughhhhh, someone will get a killer deal on all kinds of stuff!

Wow! Huge thank you to the mods for allowing me to try and offload some of this before insurance cashes in.

UPDATE Moved Part out to individual threads.

That's shity. RIP. When I totaled my 2016 in February, I took almost all of the aftermarket shit off. My insurance company told me they didn't care if the parts were installed, they just had to be in the truck (i.e. in the bed, strewn about the cabin, etc.) I ended up selling some of the parts, and putting most of them on my 2007 I bought with the settlement check.

I'm also wondering how to part it out on here as i cant necessarily remove anything until i have a buyer and a stock part lined up. I.e its hard to take the coilovers off to photgraph them then leave it in pieces until i find someone to give me their OEM+cash.

I bought and traded a few things to get replacement parts that I didn't already have. OEM mufflers should be on craigslist, as well as cheap used wheels and tires. I also had quite a few OEM parts still. It sucks to swap out a bunch of parts in a body shop parking lot. Tell the insurance company to screw on the aftermarket stuff and make them wait until you are ready to accept an offer then swap out parts in the mean time. If you take their offer, they will cover towing and storage fees.

Man what a bummer. That is a sweet ride. 217 is always a mess. Luckily I don’t have to use it much. Those wheels are sweet.
I have stock shocks, coils, UCAs, shackles and wheels and tires from my 2021 platinum if you’re interested in getting some stock stuff to put on immediately. I was going to try to get a few bucks for the suspension stuff but considering your current circumstance you can have it for free if you’re interested. PM me, I’m in Hillsboro.

Yikes! That sucks. I hope you, and everyone else is ok.

You might message the staff and see if they can make an exception or have any suggestions.

So is the other driver not insured or not responsible ?

In short - based on the list you have more than 2k in accessories there.

If your filing with your own insurance - then you very well may be limited to 1 or 2k in accessories if you didn’t buy additional coverage.

It it’s the “other guys” fault and their insurance - there is no limit.

Said it many times but beats repeating - if your gonna customize your ride - buy the right coverage. Accessories- add for their cost and save receipts. True custom - put an “agreed value” policy on them - not “stated value” - agreed value is - of totaled - we agree to pay you this amount - stated value is - if totaled - we pay you “up to” this amount based on current value.

Unless your in Michigan or Ontario - the responsible party pays for damages via their insurance. Of course there are some exceptions where you may need to use your coverage (disputed fault/uninsured and underinsured) - but you still have the right to claim your loss not covered with the responsible party directly via small claims/civil courts.

That sucks. I hate 217, had a daily commute on it for six years.

Odd light bar on the red car. Pilot car?

What's the cause of the total? The rear end part, or the front? Neither looks that significant to me?

I ask because I seem to see one of these every week or so on here, and I wonder if steel bumpers on front/back would have saved it?

Looking at the angle of the tow hitch, I would guess that the frame is bent pretty badly.

Think it was worse because the ball mount was in there? I was taught not to leave that in, if only because it may walk away.

I’m located in Oregon and I’m definitely interested in parts if you get the chance to go take anything off before it’s totaled . Let me know

Sorry you were involved in this. It always happens to the really bad ass trucks.

We will discuss this post and see where to go from here. It is a little against BST rules....but this situation is a tough one for you.

Honestly... i think that is cool that it will be discussed to help someone out. There is always drama on forums... but this is one of the reason i stick around, people are looking to help on another.

It most likely will be "overlooked" due to OP being a good member, this is a crappy situation for him, and it costs us nothing to be cool about it.
