Was doing a filter and flush, snapped the second bolt. Decided to bail on changing filter.
80k on truck and fluid came looking like used motor oil, and smelled burnt. So I think it’s a must do.
But now I’m concerned about magnets and filter, do I go for it and hope I don’t snap anymore bolts or let it ride? Please any suggestions would be appreciated.

Filter is fine for the life of the truck. Until someone can prove me wrong. Magnets will have very little material on them, so no need to clean. Just change the fluid out and you'll be good to go

Drain and fill 3 or 4 times and leave it alone.

If you only snapped the one, adhere to what these guys say. Leave the pan alone, cycle out the fluid and move on

A toyota tech on this site recommended finger tight only on the pan bolts for future reference

Iv'e gone down this road with an 08 that I had. I Snapped the first bolt that tried, then bailed on the project. Learning from that when I bought my new 2017 Tundra I NEVER-SEIZED the pan bolts the first day of ownership.

Or check the proper torque. When I was dropping pans on my F150 the torque setting was 120" lbs. My boat mechanics brother was a diesel mechanic at one time and had a Snap-on inch lb torque wrench I would borrow. I changed the fluid every 30k on my Fords and never snapped a bolt. I owned Ford trucks for 30 years so I dropped a lot of pans.

First thing I did on my 19 was to slide under and rotate the pan bolts.

Planning to do this soon on my new 21. Can't hurt. Already did the parking brake adjustment since it didn't hold while on flat ground in drive at idle when new.

Editing my post, just woke up for nightshift so my brain isn't fully functioning yet.

That magnet isn't from a 07-21 tundra. Our trucks have 4 square magnets in the pans. Mine had virtually nothing on them after 170xxx miles.

I did my '17 with no issue last summer. How were you taking them out?

I just ordered eneos’ synthetic WS trans fluid tonight. I may have to drop my pan and change a solenoid if my P0983 comes back. Preparing for these bolts to break lol.
