So, this is a follow up to my original thread on Android Auto Wireless; a device I ordered via Indiegogo a few months ago; here's the original thread and device link:

Like I said, I ordered this MONTHS AGO (May 6th, to be exact) and was originally supposed to get it in June. There were a ton of production delays, and I finally got it yesterday.

Anyway, I hooked it up this morning. Initial setup took exactly 43 seconds (I timed it so I could give you an idea) from the time I started my truck to the time Android Auto was running wireless through my factory radio. This included all post download steps (app setup, AA settings, device sync, and HU AA start).

After setup I went for a short drive to make sure everything worked, and no surprises. I'll follow this up if things change in the next few days, but otherwise Android Auto runs seamlessly in the stock HU; only I didn't have to plug my phone in. The device itself is small enough to not be obtrusive. Assuming this thing lasts, I think this is a convenience game changer. The wait sucked, especially as a Gen X'er who has to have things right away, but so far this thing was worth 20211020_111838.jpg 20211020_105526 (2021-10-20T15_55_28.379).jpg .
