Legos….

Finished my X wing fighter last night

 

I built this one with my son and he promptly destroyed it. Sad faces.

 

Did this one last weekend. Really cool set.

 

You are never too old for LEGO’s. Most of my stuff is either techniq or anything StarWars.
This one is my favorite. But I have the Death Star, Milenium Falcon, and many more.

 

I was playing with mine after I finished it, went to show my lady and accidently shot one of the little red missiles at her (didn't hit her) she just laughed

I saw that one at the Lego store. I love that it practically comes in a crate.

 

Yea, its actually really big. We also have the original Star Destroyer and comparing the two this one is just massive. I've got a light kit coming in for it and I'm building a case for it. My better half decided on the house were builfing that we have a Lego room. The kids have been into Lego's and even as young adults they haven't lost the passion for them.

 

Interesting thing I learned while at Legoland is that the designers who come up with the plans for and build the features there can make between 60-90k annual salary. Who said playing with toys was a bad idea?

 

I saw that kit in the stores when it first came out. Frigging awesome!

 

That's cool. I need to get updated pictures of our progress of the "rebuild" project, but we're down to just the city blocks and a couple random missing pieces I have coming from Brick Owl.

 

I finished my typewriter this morning. It comes with a bunch of letters in different languages that you can put in it but I'm thinking of printing up my own letter to put in it.

 

This one just showed up today - I'm giving it to my wife for Christmas


But that typewriter would be pretty damn cool too.

Separately, after I finish the "rebuild" project (got one of the city blocks done last night), and get the knock-off FJ40 done, I think I'm gonna buy the parts for this MOC

Those are all awesome! I need more money. I'm tempted to get that FJ - I wish they had one in Rustic Green.

My daughter finished the Lego Adidas shoe. It's so cool, it came with extra parts in case you'd rather make a left-handed version.

 

I thought about using the instructions for the FJ and "building" it in the Lego designer to be able to create a parts list to make it with real Lego parts.
Maybe if I get stuck inside this winter...

 

Got this a few days ago and just finished it. Another knock off brand but a really cool build. Going to get some Alfa Romeo stickers for it as Bottas is my favorite F1 driver.

 

This is awesome. Not gonna lie, skimming through your original post, I was checking out the type writer and other sets, I legit thought you said you bought her a pair of Adidas.

 

I miss the days when you could make something in LEGO design creator and then order it. (LEGO Design by ME) They would let you design a box and they would even have computer generated instructions.

My wife was always telling me about a friend of hers that had a pontoon boat so I made one and ordered it for her as a present. (she does not like boats)

Grew up with Legos. As a kid I’d memorize some of the buildings and rebuild them so often I didn’t need the plans.

We’re a Star Wars household here.

The smaller metal ones are Metal Earth kits.

So far we’re at two minifigs with broken legs and about 5 missing parts through the entire rebuild.

 

I just saw someone removed the unnecessary apostrophe from the title. Now I can dive into this thread- LOL!

 

Growing up, the Lego factory was in Enfield CT, about a 30 minute drive. Knew several people that worked there, and was able to obtain sets through them at employee discounts. Then they sold off and closed the factory. Still have several sets my kids are building now, lots of lego city sets, mixed with star wars. Currently have a lego train in my living room and this is all within view without moving, though most are in our basement

Received this as an anniversary gift back in May, but spare time was in short supply, just finished it the other day.

 

Damn - they did a good job on that one. Nice.
