Flight is decent but you can't really say you tried it without having the original... Here is PA we can get both in 24oz cans since we're professionals.

I've had a 140 for about 10 years. Haven't found much of anything I wished it would do. Super nice being able to use it almost anywhere with it being 120v. If you didn't get the gas option it's worth it especially if you're doing any sheet metal.

After much deliberation, negotiations, and plea bargaining... we're junking the chevy. Needs about $1,700 worth of work to get back on the road. Brakes, brake lines, brake cables, etc

Hard to argue with that. I love the sound of a wookie as well, but I've yet to hear a lower rpm v6 in a truck sound very good.

The Tacoma 3.4 with headers and losing the crossover pipe and using an x pipe in the exhaust actually makes a really interesting noise. Reminiscent of a GTR. But it’s so out of place sounding in a. Truck

It's a '99-'06 era Silverado, so if V8 should be LR4, L31 or LM7 or one of a couple other possibles. Still, should be GenIII.

No matter how busy I get I can't resist a project. Neighbor gave up on his saltwater tank. 55 gallon acrylic show tank with a 20 gallon sump. Tank has a centralized built in skimmer. Its got a lot of buildup to scrub and will need a polish and a new stand built. He was throwing it away.

I saw it and thought, no Luis, not this time. Leave it there. Then while walking the fmdog my wife saw it and said "free? Take it!" Shit! Whoever kidnapped my wife and replaced her with a clone who wants me to do things I like, thanks! She authorized a new guitar and a fish tank project in the same morning?

So now this is in my back yard. I'm going to clean it next week and start polishing it. Once I'm satisfied with that I will meddle with the pump to get that figured out, I've only had a sump setup once before. Then I will build a nice stand/hood and this will replace the 40 gallon I have. I'll be able to hide the heater in the sump and hugely increase the filtering capacity that I have today. My light and all the rocks/plants/fish will be transferred. I might take the opportunity to switch sand colors, I'm tired of the dark sand.

Call me crazy, I deserve that.

Yeah, I had a 120 gallon salt set up years ago. At first it's awesome and beautiful. After a while it just becomes a total PITA.

I mean, no more crazy than me, frankly. This was sitting at the curb of a house after the owner moved out a few months back. Ran over and grabbed it. Didn't notice it had a few holes drilled in the bottom until I got home, so I guess it's a terrarium? Still not sure what the hell to do with it. Glass is so f'n thick it's not funny.

I think the old tank was 10 gallons and the new one is 20. So we’ve had two tanks on the kitchen counter for a few weeks. Today the fish are finally in the big tank. And there are some new fish too

If it has holes driled through the floor it likely had a sump filter. Thats good, you just need the bulkhead fittings and you can run a sweet filter. Gravity feeds the filter and a pump in the sump pushes water back to the tank. Thats a pretty odd shape for a tank, good that it has thick glass because as tall as it is it would want to bow with thin glass. It would be hard to decorate that tank, I would get lots of tall plants. Anacharis, octopus plants, ludwigia, jungle val, or even bolbitus would be sweet.

Yeah, I think it has 3 seemingly randomly drilled holes in the bottom, 7/8" - 1" approximately each. I can take pics if you can (or want) to tell me more. I'm skeptical whether I'll be using it, but it was there, it was free, and I figured it had to be worth at last a hundred or two, so I grabbed it.

The 1" is probably the drain to the filter and the two smaller ones are the return lines. Thats how the one I just got is.

The one I got has the valve and hoses for gas. I'm looking at carts right now, was gonna build one but I saw a fair one for $45 so might tmgrab it and be done so I can set up gas. Thanks for the feedback.

We do have lots of off roading. In high school we would head to the mountains when there was an assembly to go drive some trails. It was a 5 minute drive so we could get there and make it back unless someone got stuck or pulled over.

So I've been looking at lights like these with the weird fish eye lense and wide/short beam pattern. I was thinking for my Jeep, but I really think I'll try them on my tundra. I've had good luck with the chinesium lights if I seal them before use. Anybody know what these are called so I can search them better? I've seen everything from fish eye to 6d lense. Doesn't seem like there's a standard. I just like that they don't shoot light straight up like most led cubes.

It's a V8, but I don't know shit about it. I don't have a place to store it, but I'm not against keeping the engine/Trans. It may be a little banged up, but that mf runs like a top, and pulls hard.

Those ls style 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 engines are not only great for swaps but quite valuable. A high mileage engine with accessories and harness might fetch $1,500 around here. I have a deal with a buddy to buy a whole running 5.3 truck with body damage for $2,000 and I consider that a great price. Not to mention a 5.3 with a cam and some other minor mods is good for 300-350hp. Either my xj is getting a 5.3 or I'm selling it to get something else that needs a 5.3. something in my life needs to make 350hp+ and preferably something that came in stock around 200-250hp haha.

    Long/short story. If it's a 99+ Chevy V8 then I wouldn't just give it away for scrap.

I don't know anything about these trucks but I would assume just about any running truck has to be worth at least $1,500-$2,000 right now. No way I'd scrap one before trying to sell it. What do junkyards even pay, $300-400?

In scrap metal it might be around that or less. Junk yards who knows. It would depend on the truck. Still those 99+ gm v8 engines are getting pricey. Especially if they run alright and don't have the afm or whatever cylinder drop gas mileage stuff. I've seen people asking $2,000 for a clean looking engine and trans with harness around here. I bet they sell them for $1500 or maybe closer to $2k if they look clean.
