What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I'm no expert on USB designation/configuration for sure, but it is definitely a USB 3.0 Type A female connector. I do know that it charges fast with my standard iPhone lightning cables and also the latest edition GoPro 9 cable, which doesn't answer your question. Here is the pic of the plug from their website, you could probably reach out to them for a definitive answer.

 

Been a fan most of my life. I’m looking forward to seeing them for their 40th birthday shows in SF …hopefully they don’t get canceled. So far all indications are that it’s still going to happen!

 

My guess is he’s wondering how tall it is both above and below the “flange”

 

Did my first full fill up after installing the pedal commander. Tried my hardest to keep it in eco mode for the whole tank, I only took it out of eco to merge onto the freeway a few times. Kept my driving style the same, driving over the speed limit, accelerating hard off the line. Normally I get 12.3 to 13.5 mpg on a tank and I just got 14.5. I probably will not keep it in eco all the time because it's just so slow trying to get it moving but it is nice to have when backing a trailer or driving slow over loose terrain.

 

Oh ok, in that case it's the exact same dimension as the Rago one that came with the plate. The outlet itself is almost flush with the flange/face of the dash mount and the rubber cap sticks up about 1/4". On the underside it does not get anywhere near the mounting plate or the dash itself with at least 1" of clearance beneath it.

 

I installed this locking fuel door because 38 gallons might be way too tempting..

 

What ceramic coat?… and what does it do?

 

Protects finish, makes them easier to clean. You can coat your entire vehicle in it and it's a great investment to keep it looking new.

 

That adapter for the power really makes the install easy and super clean.

Maybe I'm weird, but the majority of the time I keep my PC in Eco -4 just because i like way the truck feels...smooth!

Where did you find the fuel door, if you don't mind me asking? I've been searching around for a black one and everywhere has been out of stock.

 

It definitely feels limo smooth on that setting, I'm just always in such a damn hurry it doesn't work for me.

 

Another senior moment, so another stupid question. I promise this isn't the last one.

I want to adjust the default temp the truck uses when being remotely started with the A/C off. Factory default is 77F if the outside temp is between 41F and I think 81F. There exists an interface to the truck's controls that for the life of me I can't remember the name to; but I don't know if it's applicable to that control item, and ending clauses in prepositions is just bad form. I'd like to lower that temp to 70, which would make it more comfortable, hot or cold... I'd really like that setting to override the temp if the A/C is on, and turn the fan on hi, but I might just be asking too much.

And I'm not 100% sure that setting is in there (I haven't specifically looked for it). have you checked the detailed settings in your head unit (there are a lot of the AC settings in there).

Techstream can be a bit finicky to get set up (all of the versions out there on ebay and such are pirated - the only "official" version is what your dealer has with an expensive subscription and tool attached to it). There is an app-based OBD port tool that some people have reported about on here (I forget the name) that may be less finicky to get working and will provide MOST of the same functions (except for programming new keys and fobs, and doing some of the advanced diagnostic procedures like the transmission flush that has a bunch of computer-controlled steps that the truck runs through). I'm sure someone will be along with the name of that app.

Adjustment via HU is a no, at least for a 2020.

 

I'll try and remember to hook my Techstream up tonight or this weekend and grab a few screenshots of what can be customized on mine for AC settings. I'll let you know.

Finally slapped on the zinc tailgate letters.

 

I tried ordering 1 from there and they don't tell you that it is not in stock until they send you an order confirmation (after you pay for it) I demanded a refund...

 

I called and ordered mine over the telephone, no issues here.

 

I found them on real truck. This one from Amazon says it don’t fit a 21 tundra? Not sure why.

 

In eco mode, is it slower/ more sluggish accelerating than completely stock without pedal commander?
