I find the Tow/Haul button real helps with the performance of my truck. I use it all the time and the most I am ever hauling is my golf clubs. If anything, my MPG has increased slightly, but then 85% of my miles are highway.

I can only imagine the fun I would have based upon what others have said about the PC Sport Mode. Not sure if it is a toy or a tool, but either way we all have probably spend $300 on more frivolous things.

The Pedal Commander eliminates the sluggishness in the throttle. It is not the same as using the Tow/Haul button.

PedalCommander for Toyota Tundra is absolutely a great addition to your truck.

I have one on mine and love it. Once you get it dialed in to your preference you will be glad you have it. I can't imagine driving my truck without it now.

I’ve seen that tons of members here love their Pedal Commander, but this thread stands out to me: https://www.tundras.com/threads/pedal-commander-near-death-experience.90727/

There are some other products from competing brands that claim to have safety circuitry to prevent this type of thing from happening, but after reading that I’m kinda weary of installing any of these sprint booster type products on any vehicle.

Me personally, I just used Tow/Haul mode for the longest time until I finally opted for a DAP tune. That’s a bit pricey though.

It is hit or miss where some vehicles have serious issues with the Pedal Commander and some vehicles don't have any issues. @prevent linked to one of the worst case scenarios posted about on the forums. Surging and limp mode seem to be the common problems folks have reported here. I've had one for about 5K miles with the only issue being surging (RPMs rev up usually on start up). If you install one read the instructions as you are likely to cause issues if you don't follow them; the main rule is don't change your PC settings while pressing on the throttle. You are introducing another failure point by installing one but for some the benefits out weigh the risks.

This ^^^. To the OP, the Pedal Commander is NOT a tuning tool. So don't confuse the two. I'm glad I have one on my Tundra.
