That was my first thought. If they suck and ya keep going back...I mean. Stop. You can break the cycle.

They are 1 hr north of me, I called them , when I was in the Market for a new Tundra , were A holes on the phone , never went there nor will I go in the future .

 

I'm pretty sure you're paying for your "free oil changes".

I had one of those for my Sienna and decided it wasn't worth it. I looked at the fine print and cancelled it, and had a nice fat check mailed to me from Toyota.

I only use the dealer for things like transmission fluid flush (after I vet them to confirm they're doing it the right safe way) and coolant changes.

That said, they did mess up the coolant change last time. Didn't take the time to work the air out of the system after they refilled it, and my rear heater didn't work. Turns out it was 1/2 a gallon low of coolant. <sigh>

Society has to change or this trend of incompetence will be the end of us.

 

I never thought I'd hear that name outside of my memory I try to forget.

Long story short, many years ago we drove down to Florida for holiday, was a long drive, stopped in Scranton cause at that time, we has a camry, and it would not fill up all the way, takes 20mins to fill up a tank, gets real annoying in winter.

Beside the lovely hotel in Scranton had a parking lot that was also local crackhead hang out, I called to see if that dealer could check the car, as I believe was a vent valve being stuck, the procedure calls it to clean it with compress air, the service manager tried to argue with me that is not true, and tried to sell me a new gas tank for $1500 installed.

I paid the $85 diagnostic fee and went to get a coat hanger and clear the vent tube while local crackhead tried to get me to buy some crack.

 

Sounds like they need to change the name to Dunder Mifflin Toyota.

 

you can use any toyota dealer for the free oil changes.

 

I had a dealer rattle gun my 1st gen Sequoia wheels back on and I got a flat a short time later. I couldn't get it off, ended up breaking the key. I drove down to the bus shop at my work and their normal size impact gun wouldn't loosen a single one of the non-security nuts. We checked them with a torque wrench and they clicked at over 200lbs. I really think they put the new kid on tire rotations and he just goes to town. I purchased a nice floor jack and 2 additional jack stands, I do my own rotations now.

 

Reminds me of doing a tire rotation on a Camry I used to have. First time the tires were off after having brake work done (hate working on drums) at a local shop - not a dealership.

I couldn’t get the lugs off to save my life. All my weight on the lug wrench, nothing. Pneumatic impact wrench, nothing. Ended up having to take a sledge hammer and banging on the lug wrench to finally get them off.

I do most everything myself but if I have to take it in, I ask every time now “You guys use torque wrench for the lugs?” “100lbs right?” while shaking my head ‘yes.’

 

Sound like you need a new dealer

Maybe it's just me but I think you're being waaaaaay too anal about those scuff marks on the wheels lol

 

OMG, I so feel your pain. I took my truck in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Little do they know that I mark my tires to make sure they actually rotate them. Guess what? I get the truck back and of coarse they didn't rotate them, and to boot they put a ding in my door. Needless to say I was pissed! I went straight to the service advisor and ask to speak to the manager. Told him I didn't bring my truck in to have these techs treat my truck like a p.o.s, and if there is a ding is gonna be put on it, it's gonna be done by me! Needless to say they brought out a rental car and said he would call me when the body shop was done. It's sooo sad these days to see the lack of care or even concern at dealerships.
