A mod to help naturally aspirated trucks lose low end tq... Probably not a popular comment saying that, but nothing beats the stock air box and how its designed, including the stock air filter.

Well put probably 30 miles on tonight and would disagree with you. Seemed to come alive a little quicker and seemed to lug a lot better. As in stayed in 6th gear longer instead of shifting into 5th so quick like it use to. I could be full of shit I guess... No louder in cab. No idea on millage yet. But first impression I give a thumbs up.

Well I hope It stays that way for you. After about 500 miles and the computer compensates for the change, go up a hill keeping the accelerator steady and see if it looses low end.

That's a great point Trucky, I will pay close attention to it. I will agree with Virgil though. My truck has a better response when I get on it, and a beefier sound. We shall see.

Well just gotvhome last night from a 2400ish mile round trip and am confident it has helped. On a 380ish mile run from Florida to Tennessee I got 17.2 mpg! Have never seen close to that before the install. Truck has a 2 1/2 coil lift and 35" tires so I am extremely happy with 17 mpg! I like and am very happy with the kit.

Installed my new LED headlights and I highly recommend them for anyone that wants a great output and doesn't want to drop the money for HID's. Also took a little drive to scope some spots out for hunting in the fall.

I'm interested Mac-ak. I have looked at going the led route and they are quite expensive. I got my hids for the low beams and fogs for about a buck twenty. Would like to see the lights in action. Post some pics if you can. Thanks

For the guys that wanted to see the light output, not sure the pic does it justice but I can assure you it's much brighter than stock. With these, my Rigid fogs and my light bar it's more than enough light so I'm happy.

Hey Cody how does your susp set up ride? Always been a fan of OME products and might be having some extra cash here soon so debating on what to go with.

Its by far the best thing I have done to the truck... Its a bit stiffer than stock but not terrible and off road it really shines. You feel more planted and stable. The OME stuff with Coachbuilder1 (from TundraTalk) 3" shackles is very nice and VERY reasonably priced. One thing to remember with the OME stuff is:

    612 light
    614 meduim
    613 heavy

The difference is the spring length and its only like a couple millimeters (can't remember exactly) so the 613s are about 4 or so millimeters longer than the 612s. The 614s are somewhere in the middle.

I went with the medium just in case I decide to put a heavy duty bumper up front... But the 612s would have been just fine as well and possibly ride a little nicer. I hope that helps, you can check it all out at toyteclifts.com :D

Thanks for the input on that, had OME on my 99 Taco before the Tundy and loved it just wanted to double check with someone that currently had the set up I was looking at.

Installed a dual band radio. Had a hard time finding a good spot for the radio head, and this was the best compromise. The radio box is under the driver's seat.

Installed Hids on my Fogs. Anybody have trouble with prying the 2.pins out. Mine just broke all to shit. I used the small forked tool. I guess not a big deal, but could have been a better fastening pin.

They are low enough so you should be ok. I might actually do the same instead of blinding people in the headlights. Good idea.

Took the pup out to the MOFN for his morning exercise today. That little dark spot near the center of the pic is my Tundra-

    MOFN.jpg

After we got home, I installed my new dashcam--DOD LS460W. Had a hard time deciding on a good location and just decided to go with this for now. It's not overly-intrusive in my field of view, but it is somewhat obvious from outside the truck. I can always pop it off the mount when I leave the truck if it ends up bothering me. Other than that, it's a pretty slick little unit!

Took it out into the desert this morning...after taking it into the mountains yesterday...after taking it into the desert 3 days ago...after taking it into the desert 5 days ago...all after/during the past two weeks of daily rain. Today's forecast of a 40% chance this afternoon better be the end of it. Somewhere underneath all that crud is a green truck that I'd like to see again at some point-
