Hello guy. I’m new here. I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5 RWD. I want to level it but I don’t really know how to go about it. Can anyone guide me as far as to just get spacers as I read or get new front shocks?

Welcome from SoCal. Post some pics. Spacers are the cheap and easy way to do it, but you'll get heckled by all us 4x4 snobs :D

Here are a few good threads to browse.
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/how-big-is-yours-measure-up.46186/

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/suspension-thread-79425.91329/

If you fill out a quick questionnaire we can give better advice.
Do you plan to go off road?

    Do you plan to tow?

Do you plan to install yourself, or hire a shop?

Do you want bigger tires? If so, how big?

What is your budget and how quickly can you double that?

Add to your budget for Toyota lower ball joints, 4 bolts for the ball joints, the nut for the ball joints, and roughly $100 for alignment.

Can you please post some pictures of your truck? Including pictures if your suspension. If possible please turn your wheel all the way and get a picture in the wheel well to show from the top of the front shock to the lower arm. This will help us to gauge if any real maintenance is needed.

I think that's how that question should be asked every time. I've never heard a budget and thought "yes, that will do".

I leveled my truck by putting a thousand pounds of dirt in the back.

I think Luis was being conservative with the "double that" statement. Probably should have been "What is your budget and how quickly can you take out a second mortgage"

It's 15 years old. You likely need new shocks anyway. I got these and am happy with them.

I’d say if you went this route, save your stock springs. Seems like from what I’ve read people have wanted to upgrade after having these and thrown out their original springs. Then you have to find a spring to go with your upgraded shocks in the future. That is, if you’re new coilovers don’t come with springs.

Good point. My original springs were shot. 230k miles of PA weather. So these were perfect for me.

Is there any cushion to the bottom spacer, and do they offer different densities?

Yeah there is cushion under the spring. I don't think they offer different densities. I could be wrong.
The truck came with shot lower mount bushings. So hard to compare. All I know is they are a lot better than what I had!
