Not necessarily. I have an EQ from the "tuner of tacos" and I don't use any adjustments on my factory head unit. I don't have to reset everything after disconnecting the battery either.

even if you had the JBL “premium” audio - it’s still not very good

it actually is a blessing, now i can upgrade it relatively cheap and easily! premium locks you in to a much more expensive route.

Only if you want to keep any component of it. Otherwise, replacing it all is the same with or without.

There’s some “stretch” to the valence straps that attach to the skid. Works fine with the shims.

i haven’t had any experience with replacing the JBL system because mine was the non JBL as well but you can pretty much replace everything including the HU and also add subs for around 2k with pretty decent equipment

I have the RCI skids and the holes in the 3 tabs attaching the valance were still able to line up to the holes after the shim was installed. yeah a little push was needed but all good

    Installed DD Bamuffler 10”.

I knew it wouldn’t fit like a glove but fingers crossed it’s good enough. I swung by the local muffler shop to see if they’d inspect it for leaks but they won’t since they didn’t put it on….

    I don’t hear any…..

If it did bend, ask @DPlatinum I just sent him a stock clamp and a brand new gasket.

Maybe if he ends up not needing it, he can re-pay it forward.

Crossed off another item on the 7 Yr Refresh list: changed out front/rear dif and transfer case fluids. Rear oil (in pic) was pretty vile, front clearly used but not as bad, t-case looked like I changed it yesterday.

How many miles on the t-case oil? I’m at 60k and trying to decide whether to do it at 75k or 100k.

That's the RTX leaf kit on the highest setting. Will be level with 750 pounds in the rear. Currently it's suppose to sit 4 above stock but it looks like more.

I think he has the brackets for Tundras with OUT the deck rail system. He needs these. This is what came with my Ultra Flex with Deck Rail mounts.

180k km so a dozen or so over 100k miles, didn’t get it tested or anything but visually still looked pretty good- also I use the 4x4 a fair bit of the year as they aren’t big on clearing snow up here. That said, if you can get a cheaper alternative to the chamillon dollar Toyo 75w it’s probably cheap insurance and is actually the easiest of the three points to do (low torques and lots of room to pour).

Finished my 2nd coat of griots 3-in-1. Rhinorack RB20s side steps are so nice to have when you need to get to your cab roof. Picture doesnt do any justice but I am so happy to finally complete my first wax job on my Tundra as mentioned before its been 15 years since I last waxed any car. My almost 1.5 year old boy takes priority in my life so its been hard to set aside time to get this done.

Unbolted a bunch of stuff from the bed today and gave her a wash. I removed these mounts so I could sand the rust off and paint them (should have painted before using them, but I made them right before we left for CO a few weeks ago).

I have seen lots of people looking for cheap shovel or axe mounts, so I wrote up a quick DIY. It'll cost you $30 and you won't have to drill any new holes in your bed.
