I jumped in the truck this morning, 24,520 miles. Head lights are on auto, hit the seat heater on high (32 degrees today) radio on, heat set at 70 degrees with the blower on high.

Drove out of my driveway down to the end of the street hit my left turn signal and every light inside and outside went dark for a split second. Thought it was just me and a bad blink of my eyes. Drove for a couple of miles to the next stop sign. Hit the left turn signal again and it does it again. Every light out including navigation, radio, climate controls all gages and all exterior lights.

Called my dealer and my service writer says Trailer harness may be rubbing and shorted out. Had a Tacoma do the same thing last week.

    Anyone else have this problem>

Nope, but I wouldn't also rule out the turn signal/headlamp stalk. Just where my mind gravitated to....

A little of this and a little of that.
That is strange. Keep us posted as to what the dealer said/fixed it.

Gotta be something all those lights have in common. That points to a ground issue. Hope the dealer's right - that'd be an easy fix. Please let us know the outcome ...

May all be related to the canbus. I will let you know how things go on Monday.

Well I took my truck in to the dealer, They are not sure what is going on with my truck. I keep thinking the alternator may be bad. But they state when they test it, it checks good. But my battery was only charged at 50% of capacity. I have been driving the truck every day for two weeks to work 29 miles each way and my dealer is a 45 minute ride from my home. So I can not see why the alternator would not be keeping the battery fully charged. They tested both the Alternator and Battery and state they are checking good. I have disconnected the winch and my AC inverter and run a DVOM between the battery and the positive lead of each. It shows 0.00 volts across both circuits, so they are not pulling any power from the battery. So the big question is what is causing the heavy drain on the system. This is the second time I have had electrical problems in the truck. The first time they replaced the battery. If it happens again they will open a case file with Toyota as this is the 2nd time its had a low voltage condition with the battery.
