Looked it up on you tube. Guy was using a 2016 but pretty much the same. Fairly easy. U just let the trim dry solid for 2 days before reassembly.

Washed, clay barred and ceramic waxed her. Some nice added protection Just in time for the 106-110* days coming up. The front windows and rear windshield will be getting tinted Thursday to match the rear windows.

I made the backing plate at work out of 6061 aluminum so that it'd work with the trd pro grille.
The little black plactic dogbone looking piece was flimsy and wouldn't work with this particular grille.

Check the build link in my signature.
Got it realigned after the Westcott lift installed. Now my steering wheel is straight again (it was ever so slightly rotated to the right).

ok, good to know. I assumed it just bolted right in w/o any issues. I may have to look into another mounting method as well if it's flimsy. I didn't know it was plastic.

    Lots of shenanigans.
Dumb question but can you reassemble it after putting the steering wheel back on or do you need to stop driving for two days then reassemble?

    None-for now
To each their own but I’ve always had my tail lights tinted and never been rear ended in 10 years. Most rear ends i do see on the high way the person has stock lights. It’s mostly due to people on their phones.

this is the next thing I want to do. If I lived rural then probably would have already done it because the output on the halogens suck!

But it looks so much better and your visibility at night improves therefore making her safer. It’s all about how you present it. Let us know how much better it is, did mine two years ago and no regrets.

I drove it, granted it was just for about 15 minutes to get the wheel aligned perfectly. Drove without the airbag or trim pieces and controls so i could loosen the wheel and re adjust.

Tell her you justified the purchase to have increased visibility at night thus preventing an accident. Never know when a deer, dog, squirrel, skunk, buzzard, or human may stroll across the road in front of you and you'd be able to see them in time to react quicker. If that don't work your on your own

    EDIT: Also what @Clemshady said
