Speaking of Goofy, saw a Turd Gen on the road yesterday. It was raining hard and everyone had their lights on. Turd Guy has these drop down from front bumper Yellow Fog Lights. Couldn't see their shape due to the extreme brightness and poor aiming. They were a little blinding when looking back at Goofy in the Rear View Mirror 400 yards away.

A few minutes later a Goofy Roof Tent Guy (with his Tonka Shovels on the side) coming the other way with the same set up. I’m guessing these guys don’t understand the Art of Aiming Lights?

Looks straight forward like most all of the Projectors out there. Wish it was plug and play vs having to use a Harness.

So my parents offered to sell me their '15 Camry SE when they get a Rubicon. Black, tinted windows, four banger with 50k miles on it. Granny car. Beater 'Rolla might be going bye-bye.

For peak weight reduction, the ‘03 xb belt is different than the other buells, and had to email gates to send me one. Was towed home by holding the end of a ratchet strap. 10 miles.

I think someone on here spoke well of nilight. I’m thinking about trying this 37” behind the 34.5” hole in the bumper. Headlights and those hd spotlights dont hold a candle against a lightbar. Yea, you could aim em where you want, but a bar lights up everything. And shadows in tall grass arent as bad.

    im thinking this:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07VR9VM5R/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
but am hesitant because thats a pretty rowdy power draw.

Don't believe the listed specs on that lightbar. I installed a Nilight "150w" lightbar in my front bumper, the actual measured draw was half of what the specs would lead you to believe. https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...t-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-940#post-2212296

It doesnt have to be extreme, for less than $500, it just needs to be adequate for dodging deer. i havent found anything between 30” and 42” locally, and if i build the harness i can add switches and whatnot as i go...the Amazon 18” curved i ordered for dads buick was great. Could do 2 of those through dual relays and a switch.

I think it will be too tall to fit in/behind the 02 chrome bumper opening. You can make the opening bigger or mount it outside the opening, or on top of the bumper? The specs on the one you linked show it 3.1" tall without the mounting brackets. The one I installed is only 1.7" tall including the mounting brackets.

For the price, I don't have much to complain about (I paid $67 it's now $54). It throws a decent amount of light down the road but because it's mounted so low there's a good bit of reflection from the ground right in front of the truck. Not a big deal for me since I only use it on the dark twisty mountain roads when no one is around.

If you do get a Nilight you may want to seal it up before it's exposed to moisture, I think @Tundra2 did this to his. I didn't bother since it feels like it hasn't rained here in 2 years.

My replacement Cig lighter lamp came in for my truck.
    20210604_150914.jpg

I'll swap this bulb for an LED, and then bide my time for swappable to replacement of my fubar mangle job on initial attempt.

I'll use the corolla for testing purposes because it's it's same bulb without pulling the entire dash out :)

Is it heresy to say that I’m considering on buying a 2006 Pontiac GTO with the 400hp LS2 engine as a project car when/if prices ever cool down? o_O

HA HA HA HA - Check your source before you post garbage. You are so gullible. This is from an open letter (https://www.kulovy-blesk.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Prymula_ENG_final.pdf) to the Czech Republic from the moron who heads up the ... get this ... Prison Planet Intelligence Agency (https://ppia.fandom.com/wiki/Karl_W._B._Schwarz).

    Thanks for the laugh anyway.

I looked at these too. Someone just installed a camera in their existing latch - I've seen that the OEM handles are much better than aftermarket (makes sense).

I have the license plate camera. Did not consider that the LED bulb lights completely wash it out at night. oops - looking at the handle camera again. Interested in anyone's feedback on the install.

An OEM handle will cost me the same as this unit did and I don't have the time or patience to fit a camera into one nicely. We'll see, I'll post a review when I do get it installed. Probably won't be until late summer though. I have mechanical stuff to install first.

Went to pick up a pizza at my favorite local spot. They sold me a cup of beer to go, in a plastic cup, with a little lid. Because of a discrepancy on their website that read 64oz growler for $6 (way too good to be true) they gave me a second cup free.

I drove home with two open containers thinking this is legal somehow, but I couldn't take of my mask to talk to the guy.

A few states now as long as they don't give you a straw or they tape the top it's not technically an open container. I've gotten drive through margaritas in Texas and booze slushies here in PA.

    But yeah doesn't make sense.
