How many Tundras have you owned?

Meet Tundra #8!!! I have owned a 2000 Ltd. AC, an ‘04 Ltd. DC, an ‘07 SR5 DC, a ‘10 SR5 DC, an ‘11 Rock Warrior DC, a ‘14 SR5 DC, a ‘19 Platinum and this ‘21 Platinum. I have also owned 5 different 4Runners and 2 FJ Cruisers. Guess you could say I am a Toyota Truck fanboy.

I had my 2008 for 297k miles.
Now I have 12,663 miles in my ‘21, and my current plan is for it to take me another 10 years.
This is only the fourth vehicle I’ve ever owned for myself (my wife is on her fourth as well, plus two teenagers that each have a car).

 

This one is my first.

 

My 2020 Limited is my first Tundra, we are a family of Toyota’s. Youngest has my original 2005 Camry with 268k mikes on it, wife had a Corolla which she traded in for a Highlander, other son has a bad ass 4Runner he’s modding out and his wife drives a Tacoma. One of these days I need to do a group pic. Sorry I digress...... just one Tundra and hope to keep it long into the future, that’s if they don’t make EVERYTHING electric

Put 129,000 miles on it before being hit head on, on the interstate.

I hate to admit it but I am an addict….a car/truck purchasing addict. It all began at age 17 when I bought my first car in 1968. I have since bought 69 more cars… I am 69 years old…so one car for every year I have been on the planet. That is insane but it just shows you the insidiousness of this “disease”. And sadly there is no AA type of organization to help people like me. I get a thank you card from the State of Ohio every year for all the sales tax they have collected from me. The governor says thru my taxes I have helped fund the state's recent Covid relief effort. But I guess it could be worse, I could be a crack head destined to pedaling a bicycle for transportation. That’s what I tell my wife every time she complains that I bought, sold or traded another vehicle.

 

One of my wife’s previous vehicles (actually the one she opened when we met) was a ‘93 4runner. Wish now that we hadnt sold it, but couldn’t afford to keep it when we replaced it.

I’m on my first tundra and expect it to last longer than me.
It seems like anyone who has owned more than 3 tundras (aside from accidents), is missing out on one of the best and most valuable features of the Toyota Tundra, reliability. This is assuming that you bought one the first year they were available.

This one is my first but definitely not my last.

 

Had a 2001 TRD, now a 2019 Platinum. Other Toyotas . . . 1980 2wd lowered "in the weeds" 1983 4x4, 1985 4x4 & 1986 Celica Supra. I wish I still had the '83 what a fun off road truck that was !

 

You’ve got me beat, I’ve only had four.

 

Two. 2010 DC SR5 and 2015 CM XP.

 

First one, was sick of putting Chevy's in the shop.... Wife is a Toyota fangirl and now I know why.

 

This one is my first and hopefully my last.

Big fan of Toyota's over the years, from my HS Corolla, then a 1980 4speed Long Bed PU, to my 1st gen T4R...sorely missed to a few Camrys in between, and my 08 Rig now... Big fan... Wifey loves her Subaru's which is a good thing..

 

Had a 13, 15 and now my 17.
Guess a 19 next would be the natural progression.

 

I’ve owned two: 2017 and now 2021.

 

I own about 40% of my first one.
