Great points. Didn't think about posting into existing threads because I didn't want to get lost in the mix. I'm not on Twitter, Facebook, etc. I avoid those things like the plague. Thanks guys.

I agree trying going on corvette forum. Been on there for years and guys complain when new guys come on and ask same questions. If you just google what your looking for it will pop up for the tundra site. I do that before I start a new thread.

First off, welcome to the fray. No frustration with newbies, and out of all the forums I've been on, this one is the most welcoming and least harsh to new members... even ones who ask questions that have been addressed already. Maybe it is annoying to see the same thing over and over again, but its also super easy to just not respond to a repeat thread. Some folks like to take the time to post 3 times to let you know its already been covered. Others will happily answer your question and move on. Obviously none of us have much else going on, so its not like you're wasting anyone's time by asking.
As far as MPGs, best method is hand-calculating each tank, although over 14K miles the computer is pretty close most times. You can reset the computer too so you'll get a better idea of actual MPGs over time.

    my mechanic

Welcome my guy. I bought a 19’ 4.6 sr5 silver sky with steel wheels and 24,400 miles this past April. I have a 4 banger so I havent filled up my tundra too many times. First week of light driving I averaged 11.5 mpg. I had the same concerns.

my mechanic friend told me to use fuel injector cleaner and it helped. The previous owner had the truck in a crappy condition. I was skeptical but it worked. I filled up again and my mpg is now up to 17.

i was also told to get a CAÍ but I’m going to be cheap and just get the
Trd Flow Accelerator V8 - Toyota(PTR03-34079) which is $14 bucks on sparks pre discount code. The TRD CAÍ is almost the same thing as the stock intake, just the accelerator, higher quality filter and a TRD imprint in the face of the cover(which totally adds like 16hp<— I’m Bull $hitting big time on the extra HP). Good luck bro.
