Wondering if anyone has had a problem with their transmission pump. A few days ago, I noticed what I thought was oil on my garage floor, so I took the truck to the dealer. Turns out it is a leaking transmission pump. 2 to 3 days to fix, as they have to pull the transmission. Needless to say, I'm not very happy. The truck has just 2800 miles (It was probably leaking from day one, but I didn't notice). I know it's covered under warranty, but who likes to have their brand new truck taken apart? Avoiding these types of issues is why I chose a Toyota.

yep bank account is running low from it..
Main thing here is you caught it before the transmission ran dry on you. Problem with sealed transmission you cant check the oil ( no stick) .

If very possible when the pump was put into the transmission i was put in wrong breaking the seal or the seal wasnt put in right to start with from the supplier. Humans build these trucks anything can go wrong why you have a warranty to cover stuff like this. Good thing i will say is now the Tech can get a good look and see if anything else was damaged not seen when the transmission is up in the truck, if so that will be replaced. Now your truck gets a double look over now.

Machines and humans make errors - just like anything else. At least it was caught, and is being corrected.
