Sounds good I'm just gonna try to do it myself. Like I should've with the coilovers.

Not sure why I didn’t throw them in the trash. Can’t sell due to being notched, but shops do this crap when not needed and are like everything is fine.

If you look at the pic @Vizsla posted.... if it needs to be opened up at all, a side grinder would be your friend here. Just don't make those square cuts, instead start off on the inside opening area and take a little material off like his picture shows. This is easier when they are off your truck and before installing.

Just so we’re clear in case someone comes across this, The FBG instructions say to torque the LCA to ball joint nuts to 123 ft-lbs (step 11). The correct torque for these is 221 ft lbs.

There was a dude on here whose LCA separated from the lower ball joint - I’ll have to find the thread…just a minor detail.

Good catch, those 2 bolts will give you a bad day. They also require red thread-locker. Found both loose on one side of my friends truck on a trip recently, probably saved him a little money, and a very bad experience.

All they did was clean up the cuts a little and spray paint it a little.

New question, how urgent is it for me to replace these LCAs? I have wheels and tires coming in this week. Is it something that can wait a few months or should I not chance it.

Honestly if you never leave the pavement, you'll probably be OK. As long as those cuts didn't actually make it into the main body of the LCA and its only on that tab that the coilover mounts too

Yep, when I had my OME's installed on my 07 @LOTSOFTOYS found a bad LCA bolt. The dealer actually did not have the bolts in stock and had to be overnighted. There was a possibility of replacing the driver side LCA but @ Lotsoftoys used his experience installing Yota lifts and saved my LCA. I forgot how much more time it took but wasn't charged for the extra labor. It's good to inspect those bolts. My 07 had a spacer lift on it when I bought it. Whoever did the spacer install fracked it up. Most likely Larry Miller Toyota tech in CO Springs.

Yea I don't plan on going off road. And as soon as I get the wheels on I'll go get another alignment somewhere else. Lol

You might be able to find some LCAs from a junkyard…

Make them replace your LCA, they are the ones that screwed it up!

You know what on second thought, have them pay for it, and get it done somewhere else, wouldn't let these ass clowns touch my shit!
