I want to upgrade my backup light bulbs to LED. I want the 6000K bright white with at least 600 lumens. However, I have read some reviews that these lights can interfere with the backup camera making it too bright on the camera lens to make the lights useful.

Does anyone have any bad experiences like that?

Any recommendations for a brand/number for my 2015 Tundra? I am considering these: JDM ASTAR 800 Lumens Super Bright AX-2835 Chipsets 7440 7441 7443 7444 992 LED Bulbs ,Xenon White

    Thanks!

yep bank account is running low from it..
I use to have those on my tundra. they never really put out enough light for my liking.

I went to a projector reverse light and couldnt be happier. mine are 5 watt i have seen some that are 10 watt.

This is a good example of what i have and i love them.

Thanks for the suggestion about the projector type. I will look for a similar bulb for the 7440 replacement

I would like brighter backup lights but have always been weary of just replacing the bulb that it wouldn't be much improvement. Was considering small offroad lights to add back there. I would tie them to the reverse light and to a switch for the option of turning off.

    I added these

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FQWC3PC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The color difference was nice, but they weren't that bright and the brake lights still washed out the camera with red at night.
    Put these in last month

    HUGE difference, bright, white light.
Side note: It's funny that they show a Virginia plate in one of the pictures. They're not legal here, I have to remove it pass state inspection. Five minute job so not really a problem.

I finally got around to installing my backup LEDs. Wow what a difference. The original lights are yellow compared to these bright whites. This is what I put on my 2015 Tundra:
    JDM ASTAR 960 Lumens Super Bright 5730 Chipsets 7440 7441 7443 7444 992 LED Bulbs with Projector,Xenon White
    from Amazon.

2 screws and pop the lense ass'y off (away from the side of the truck, not towards the rear). 10 minutes for both.

    They were only $20.
