Unsure on the Veepeak, but on the BxFx you can read the codes that the engine throws. Its a basic code reader. Does not dive deep like a $4k unit can do. Yes you can reset. Read the product reviews for a better understanding. BxFx had like 18k reviews last years which gives a good understanding.

Sounds great, thanks. Read through the thread and didnt see anyone had used the "BlueDriver" so because I like the idea of what you guys did I figured i'll guinea pig that one and see how the all in one scanner & app work together, especially for our year of trucks.
    it is currently on order

    Something's awry...I'm usually 3 mph off @30 and 7ish off at 70. That's with a gps speedo app on phone...so about 10%.

Did you select GPS speed in torque?

What size tires/gears do you have?

When I had 265/75/16, my speedometer was off 2mph no matter what the speed was according to Torque. Now with even bigger tires, it’s almost 4mph off. I’ll check it again against my phone app speedometer.

Gears unsure of as I believe it was probably regeared for 35 inch tires. I may have just selected cpu. 305/70/17.
I expect it to be off but more consistently compared to before I had this dongle

    New toy arrived.
Super easy to pair and set up and tons of options. You can scan your truck codes on varying levels. Check for misfires, smog check (if that sort of thing matters to you) but it didn't readily recognize the toyota (not supported by Toyota? Maybe just my year) but once I put in either my Vin, or just year and truck, it was all good.
I moved the dongle over to my 2014 cummins because I just recently had a service 4x4 light come up on the dash and the dongle recognized the truck no problem, and offered a bunch of solutions and even offered me prices from different websites. And told me what part was wrong (front axel lock disconnect actuator) replaced the part and light went away.
It's not overly large, I think you would need to do some serious maneuvering and freaking out to hit it with your foot/leg.
I like this dongle (not having used ANY others) because It offers me ease to move it from vehicle to vehicle and check codes and diagnose easily (and friends and family vehicles)
It has a long list of supported gauges to choose from for your live screen.
I haven't driven anywhere as this truck just sits and waits to get beaten up in the bush. So just sitting in the yard and starting it and watching Temps & dials move. Haha20210512_155857.jpg 20210512_155921.jpg 20210512_155908.jpg

Anyone else have a problem getting veepeak to pair? Mine did at first now it's showing up just not letting me select it...I've tried disconnecting it and reconnecting it in an acts the same. I go to connected touch the screen and nothing happens.

I use the VeePeak mini and it’s never given me any issues. I can leave it plugged in or disconnect and it always auto connects to my phone.

Less than a year later the Bafx Dongle has become glitchy when reading the Coolant and Transmission Temps. Been a while since using and today plugged it in and she worked for a little while but became stuck on certain temps. Had to unplug and replug after a few glitchy stickies. Will try the Unit again and report back if this continues.

For those who don’t know, you can set up audible alarms on Torque App to monitor activity. I have recently setup an alarm for volts since I have been noticing spikes lately. This allows me to pin point RPM’s, speed, engine temp, etc when I am seeing a spike. You can setup multiple alarms for almost anything. This is the video I used to set mine
