Eh, the worst part was honestly sanding the chrome. That took about two hours with an orbital. The rest was shake, spray, and wait for the most part.

Took a page out of @azimuth ‘s book back on page 311 and installed the Accent Glow cup holder lights. They look great. I went with red, as opposed to amber. Matches the switch illumination, and nowhere near as pink as the photo makes it look. Looks perfect going down the road.

While I had things apart, I replaced both the cigarette lighter and dash 12V accessory port with dual USBs. They have built-in voltmeters, which I don’t really need, but they’re red and help tie the dash and cup holders together nicely. (Sorry about the blurry pics, I could only get it to do so well in the dark.)

Thanks brother! They are 315/70/17s. It took me a long time to find a high clearance rear bumper that had a prerunner look to it that wasn't $1500 shipped

Clean all the glass with 0000 steel wool and waxed afterwards.
Used Chemical Guys ammonia free cleaner on the ceramic tint

No note or anything and I think they even took the fog light trim as to not leave any debris on the ground.

Any chance there were any cameras in the parking lot? The height of the damage makes me think it’s another truck or SUV.

Got the rear lift on, installed:
-Falcon Sport rear shocks w/ E-tow/Haul, Brake mount extensions, Bumpstops
-Coachbuilder 3” Shackles (1.75” lift), bearing drop kit, brake mount extensions

Still waiting for the shop to get back to me on the wheels and tires, I guess the bfd fn wheels need some kind of special balancing via “road force”. Hopefully they’ll be on before my vacation ends on Friday and I go back to work.

That sucks I came out of a store to a smashed headlight on my LX470 a few years ago, no impact marks on the bumper, just a smashed headlight like someone took a hammer to it or a REALLY lifted truck backed into it. People are fairly shitty if you give them the chance to be...

That sucks. It's messed up that they didn't own their mistake. Accidents do happen, but hit and runs are not accidents.

Check area for cameras, there are a lot around these days. My wife was hit and run by an Amazon truck while in her fathers house. Neighbors ring doorbell across the street caught the whole thing. They had her tracked down within the hour.

Applied this DEI Under Hood Thermal Acoustic Lining a couple days ago. https://www.designengineering.com/under-hood-thermal-acoustic-lining-32-x-54/
I'm amazed at the amount of underhood noise it cut out. Never realized how much sound comes up through the hood and windshield. I did some soundproofing on the rear of the cab and all four doors quite a while ago, and this additional work made a huge difference.

Cleaned the underside of the hood well with denatured alcohol, then covered the entire hood and sealed all seams and edges with metal duct tape. 20210506_134937.jpg
