Army green color thread

I have it on my SR5. It comes with the TRD Off Road package.

Those marker lights ? Sorry if you’ve answered before but where’d you get the amber and Toyota bottom left ??

 

Anyone do a grille change out, looking to change out from TRD sport 2021 to TRD Pro “Toyota grille” looking for price range & difficulty...thanks

 

It only comes with the surround. If you order from Sparks, you can get one with an Army Green surround, and it’s a pretty simple swap. It’ll take time, and that little sensor cover under the word Toyota that doesn’t really blend with the rest of the grill is sold separately and very expensive itself. There are cheaper aftermarket sensor covers that some have ok luck with and some don’t.

Overall it’s an easy swap if you pay for it. The grill and surround pop out of the front of the truck pretty easily if you remove a handful of 10mm screws and some retainer tabs.

If you found a cheaper Pro grille locally with a different color surround, you could swap it into your green surround. That swap is much harder; there are 13 (I think) fairly stiff tabs that you have to finesse without breaking to get the grill out of the surround. You’d have to do this twice to swap the grille inserts. But it could potentially be cheaper.

 

thanks really appreciate it..worried about that sensor the most ...def want to go OEM as possible... I’ve looked at sparks and eBay there’s one on EBay but $600 compared to $900 from sparks to eBay ..eBay says sensor comes with it so may go with that one

New member. Didn’t find the limited I was looking for, but found this green SR5 and pretty happy with it. Color grew on me quickly. Has TRD off-road package and a bunch more. First mod - rhino liner scheduled in a couple weeks.

Had an FJ Cruiser, 4Runner, now Tundra which is my first pickup.

 

Welcome, and nice truck! I have the same truck in a crewmax. And I too came from a 4Runner. Loved my 4Runner, but I don’t regret the move.

The marker lights are some custom myself and a buddy came up with because I didn't like any of the ones on the market. They use OEM Ford Raptor smoked grille lights and waterproof Toyota connectors with a custom wiring harness.

The TRD heritage grille stickers are from a Etsy store (I think I can't remember off the top of my head)

 

Picked this 21 AG Limited up yesterday.

Color really changes depending on light. Sometimes looks olive drab other times looks like a dark “forest green.”

 

I like the army green...I do wish it would have been more matte finish. I think it would be awesome if really like an old matte green on military trucks...just wash it off and ride on.

Just received my fas-top tonneau/soft topper. Initially ordered direct from fas-top for $1423 (~%1250) after April discount and 1-2 lead time. Canceled that order and ordered from Radco which was $950 and received it in 2 days. I'm quite impressed with it. The tonneau is very tight, soft top I think needs to sit in the warm sun to smooth out.
