So has anyone towed with no sway bars? I had both front and rear then sold them because I was set on being a fast off-roader and I was for a while but things change and I plan on buying a travel trailer. Yes I will be way below my tow rating, I believe 9k pounds is the towing capacity but of course I won't tow exactly that, I will be comfortable with 6500 pounds or less, thats just me. I will buy them again if I need to, just asking......

I tow a 5x10 trailer with 3-3500 pounds on a single axle quite often with no sway bars. Taller loads can make the body roll back and forth after turns, I am adding rear bags with daystar cups as a sort of extended bump stop while towing. Otherwise I have no complaints

I towed a 3.5k travel trailer before I had my rear bar, no issues. I assume I'll roll less now that I have the rear bar but I never felt unsafe

I have no sway bars and have no issues towing ~4,500 bumper pull camper. I have OME suspension with full Dakar rear leaf pack. I’ve had a Dodge dually 3500 4x4 and a 35’ 5th wheel, Dodge 2500 single rear wheel with 32’ bumper pull. It doesn’t feel THAT solid but I have zero complaints.

I have a 6500# TT. Before I put on the rear sway, I most definitely had a lot of body roll, enough that it made me nervous, but that might have been because I was used to towing with my Titan which was a towing beast.

Adding the rear sway bar most definitely helped a lot with body roll, enough that I’m comfy again.

    YMMV.

I tow with a Tacoma (upgrading to tundra next month) a 3000lb single axle and I would never tow with without sway bars. Too much can just go wrong, really fast. Especially if you are in high wind areas. Just my opinion. It’s worth the $500 to buy a good setup.

I’ve had my 2010 CM for two years and tow a 6000# TT and also my bass boat when I’m fishing. Have never felt unsafe towing either. The truck has really done well with both. I use load distribution bars and an anti sway bar on the hitch towing the TT. Now saying all that after reading about sway bars on here for the last two months I am going to install one after the reviews of reducing bed roll not towing anything. I want to see what I was missing. I hope this helps.
