Just replaced front bumper ends with body color and while it really was a fairly straight forward task I have to say the darned wheel well liners are miserable to deal with.

Let me guess, the plastic clips that insert into a square body mount with two prongs that must be simultaneously pushed in to remove?

Its a pain, but not as bad as removing the rear bumper.......never again!

I broke a tab off that weird clip that sandwiches along the liner.

Agreed. I recently did an AIP relocation. Knowing it was a pain I bought a bunch of clips in advance, then I just cut 'em off and installed new ones when re-installing the liner.

I agree those things are a pain. I must have stared at 1 for I don't know how long I just couldn't figure it out.

no ordered them from sparks. mgm is a strange color though. different angles look different. that said I've never seen pics of mgm pros where the bumper ends look different.

the paint job itself is very nice, just doesn't look the same as the painted parts they are next to.

I just went through that fender liner fastener BS. Actually "grommets" per Toyota. $1.15 a piece.

I had to go through the experience of removing these infamous clips today... none of my trim/clip tools worked but I got the hang of it using two small flat screw drivers. Got all 4 liners out without any casualties :bananadance: It was a bit easier as both my screw driver blades were slightly bent from being used for prying which actually made it easier to catch the two little tabs :) Took my time and was careful to not scratch any paint.
