That sounds right. I have been doing so many projects with tools lately Its hard to remember them all lol. At one time I was able to remember just about every size needed to do a front suspension swap.

That's me on my 4runner, I carry tools when I take it off reading and people think I'm missing sizes but I know the ones I will actually need.

Upgraded my hold downs. I bought the topper 2nd hand and didn't get any clamps. Eventually I'll put my unistrut back in and redo the clamps. Thanks dwarven1 .

Bitter, I feel your pain. I bought a size 6 x 5/8" black screw at Ace Hardware and it is a perfect fit FYI.

I went out to run errands after work, and pickup a screw for the 3rd brake light lens. Holy hell are these GTR interior lights bright. It's not just that they are white they are bright as hell, the cargo lights and license plate lights are as well. Wow, huge difference.

I just ordered this Torx Security socket set, the old kill two birds with one stone. Pretty sure I have seen Torx Security needs referenced here on the site, plus they should work just fine for normal Torx needs like my taillights so I can put my GTR 7443 led reverse lights in.

You might be referring to the torx security screws when people are talking about the catalytic converter plates. The only problem there as far as using them on the cat plates is that you can get that torx tip anywhere. Some of us ordered this type.

Impromptu hail storm yesterday morning and pure SLOP for the last two weeks. It did handle a rocky as all hell creek bottom with zero issues though. So that’s a plus.

You won’t regret it. When I bought my new truck last week I made them swap out the husky’s from my old truck haha. I won’t own another truck without them. And I owned weather techs for 10 years

    Shifter Trim / Cupholder Trim...

Not sure I can add much more than a nice pic to the tons of info already available here (where I got inspiration and all the info I needed to get the job done), but:

On the shifter trim, I painted the silver bezel as well as the little chrome accent. I disconnected the plastic welds that hold the trim pieces to their parent pieces, painted them individually, and glued them back with Loctite Plastic Bonder. It's a stinky mess to use epoxy, so if you're not already experienced with it, be sure to tape off your parts really well and use it in a ventilated area. The inner piece (with the chrome accent) is not really friendly to remove or replace, so carry some patience in your tool bag.

On the silver piece, I cleaned it really well, including using rubbing alcohol to ensure no greasy fingerprints stayed under the paint. On the chrome shifter accent and cupholder trim, I rubbed them down really well with a ScotchBrite pad (it does about the same job as 600-grit sandpaper w/o getting clogged every 6 seconds...), rinsed, and finished prep with alcohol. The paint I'm using says it bonds well to chrome, but I don't mind the extra effort of getting the surface a little more welcoming to paint. Everything got SEM Trim Black; 3 fairly wet coats 20 minutes apart, and they rested overnight before reassembly. Dig through Tundras.com for plenty of info on disassembly/reassembly, and I'm happy to answer any questions.

Looks good! I haven't tried to paint the gear shifter yet because I will probably screw it up in the process. One day .. maybe.

I've been researching the same thing and eventually found this little device. Not completely sold on it as it won't have power full time to the control switches, but it does avoid running wires into the truck.

After talking with another user, I'm pulling the link. With countless issues, dead battery after 24 hours, 2 bad units and still waiting on a final/third replacement with radio silence, can't leave it for others to find.

I ended up going with the switch pros as I'm not sold on the wireless remote per say.
