I didn’t, when they face forward they sit a little recessed and the angles were a little weird for my ocd.

I like the look right now flush. I will see how I feel when it’s mounted and I see the output

Also a little setback with my 30” s8 light bar.

bought from rago, it was supposed to be shipped directly from Baja to me, they accidentally sent to rago. It was sitting in someone’s office unknowing that it was supposed to go to me.

they will ship it to me soon, I hope

Yeah i would be interested in how it looks as far as light out put. I totally get the OCD of the look, but I think it might drive me more nuts knowing they are not pointed forward.

The look of them recessed doesnt bug me as much...But the mounting plate being high and having to mod the brackets for a light cut out specifically for S2s will fucking piss me off.

yeah, we will definitely see how it works out. I will post photos for sure if output at this angle. I am more for performance and output rather than looks.

The angle of the lights is similar to ditch lights as I have them

Yeah get where you're coming from. The use of fogs for most driving situations is minimal. I usually turn them on so others see me better, not so I can see the road better.

yeah that was my main focus/concern

I live in SoCal so the use of fogs is purely cosmetic. When I do venture out I’m thinking I will have enough forward light with the headlights and 30” s8 Baja light bar.

the fogs will turn into lower mounted ditch style lights

Good (unfortunate) info about the brackets... I guess I'll see when the bumper gets here, but would you modify them any differently to point the lights forward as I will?

What exactly did you use to make the cuts? Thanks.

I would modify them the same way, the way I did it was two fold.

Elongating the side holes allows the lights to sit lower in the bracket, which allows them to fit the bumper holes better.

the second cut on the bottom of the bracket allows the light to slide side to side within the bumper hole so it is all ways adjustable.

If I don’t like the look or light output, I could easily loosen the bottom nut, slide, twist or rotate it to where I like and snug it back up.

I used a drill and a cheap milling bit and files to get it done. Tons of test fits and patience

Seems like it would make sense for the brackets to have some adjustability from the factory for just this sort of issue, but drilling some extensions to the holes should be easy enough... thanks.

Yeah you would think there should be some adjustability.

it will be pretty clear once you see the bumper in person. Hopefully soon!

Trimming up the brackets for adjustment doesnt bug me...but with the tab being so high, you can only adjust the light down so much. If it was say lower you can always add washers and a longer bolt.

I guess thats what bugs me more then anything, is that the cut outs are specifically for S2s....but wont fit a stock out of the box S2.

My light bar will be arriving tomorrow.

but I’m out of town in Texas right doing a little hog hunting. Took a 1000 mile drive. Averaged 11.5mpg.

I emailed them about a week ago letting them know about the issue with the brackets and asking for an estimate on when it would be shipped. No response. Frustrating.

Im guess most skid plates will fit, as the bumper is pretty high up and doesn't cover any of the mounting holes that are used. Im planning on a RCI...so i guess we will see.

I should be installing this bad boy on Sunday.

I am currently in Texas, was a great road trip with some buddies to do some hog hunting. Tundra did awesome on the way out.

I currently have RCI skid plates and do not see an issue re-installing after bumper install.

For my front plate, I ordered a couple options to play with. I don’t really want to drill into the bumper to mount the plate but I will if I have to.

I ordered an adjustable bracket from eBay

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Black-...e-Plate-Bracket-Kit-Universal-2-/143588269801

    and some plate magnetic holders

I did hear back from resz and they said 2 more bumpers should be shipped out this week. With the rest staggered throughout the rest of the month.

Did they say what the order numbers were?!
They told me last week there were a few bumpers getting shipped out on the 16th! Wonder if they got them done early.

    I’ll just quote mike:

    Good morning Trevor,

Sorry i never got back to you. It looks like whoever welded that bumper welded the tabs up too high. I'll have to talk to them about it and make sure they get welded lower. Do you know this customer's name? I'll reach out to him.

We've got 6 ahead of you at the moment. 2 of which will be done this week. I'd say another 3-4 weeks we should be shipping yours out.

Well I hope he knows I modified the Baja bracket and not the bumper itself.

Just got home from my road trip. The tundra did awesome besides the 11.5 mpg I was getting. So plenty of gas stops.

I’m going to finally get a chance to mount up the light bar and play with license plate mounting options. Pics in a few minutes
