I took a chance and bought a set of 2" extensions that say they are for Ford or Dodge. Worked out pretty good.

Got any pictures of them? Curious as to how far the steps moved when closed/open

So now they stick out past the body? Kinda defeats the purpose of even having them and makes it just look like they don’t fit properly.

It is more for my dad and my wife. The 2 inches makes a big difference. Plus I am getting ready to install a 6" lift. Will also help cars from giving me door dings.

    To each their own.

I think using the extensions having the truck at stock height is what was confusing..
Also what @Danman34 stated about them sticking out.
    I was confused as well..

I have them on my Tundra.
I rarely use them, I only bought them for my 5 foot wife..
If I park where I have any inclination of a possible door dent, I'll leave them down.
No guarantee, but it doesn't hurt.
The OEM tube steps were more helpful at blocking door dent idiots than these Amp steps..

Only issue I have with mine is I think I cut them too short when I put them on.
I cut them to what the install instructions stated.
I should have measured them myself first, I would have left them a little longer..

Another suggest is replacing the crappy lights that came with the steps.
I bought some metal LED strips, painted them to match, and put one under every door.
    Trucks a bit filthy..

Used 3M Molding tape to the body..

    Amazon.com: 3M Super Strength Molding Tape, 03614, 1/2 in x 15 ft: Automotive

    I used 4 of these, Cool 5700K 16" long...

Waterproof Linear LED Light Bar Fixture w/ DC Barrel Connectors - 675 Lumens | Super Bright LEDs

But if I had it to do over again, I'd probably use these.
I like the metal ends as opposed to the ones above have a plastic ends.
Looks like they may be a little thinner, but not as bright.
Maybe just 2 24" (1 each side), but I have a double cab.
    I'd use 4 12" (2 each side) for a Crewmax.

Thats what kept me from buying them, with a lift they don't come down far enough for me but I love the high and tight look.
