6 inch pro comp lift, no spacers or blocks, OME rear springs with coachbuilder shackles, ICON UCA's with ICON coil overs, highly recommend the coachbuilder tie rod ends to re gain turning radius and good alignment

They're the exact same process as any shock.

I have the Pro Comp Stage 1, I plan to do the same thing. How's the ride and stuff? I want to get rid of my rear blocks too. Looks good

What's the part # on the shocks, I haven't seen the resi fronts listed for the Pro Comp?

I got the pro comp stage 1 lift for a reason, it was the cheapest of the pro comps line, I wanted it that way because I was and did eventually upgrade the front and rear shocks to ICON's. I would not personally use any pro comp shocks or coil overs, I am a huge ICON fan. Also, getting rid of the rear blocks and using the coach builder shackles improved the ride 100 times over (I used OME springs) Night and day difference. The bump stops I added just for looks. I am in Arizona so I got all my stuff thru www.state48overland.com. The coch builder tie rod ends are highly recommended, you will get rid of that screeching sound your tires make when you are turning in a parking lot and will also re gain 30% of your lost turning radius. I was skeptical when they told me that but I went for it and they was 100% correct.

Good to know about the CB Steering Arms, my truck does screech a lot, I'm thinking a custom Deaver leaf pack for mine, my truck squats something awful with the slightest amount of weight in the back. Do you have alignment issues with the Pro Comp? My truck's alignment specs are right on for factory and still pulls to the right, is there any specific alignment specs for the lift that you know of?

I am probably going to purchase the Icon stage one coil overs and get the 3” lift. Then build up from there.

I’ll also be selling this set up and a bunch of other goodies I have been collecting soon: Camburg Uni ball UCAs (in need of a rebuild), Toytec adjustable shackles with new poly bushings, and a Deaver mini pack.. not sure if used stuff interests you...

    EDIT:
Also will be selling some reservoir Fox 2.0 rear shocks.. they are off the truck and ready to go

I had the Icon stage one installed Weds. Haven't driven the truck much yet, but no doubt it is much more controlled feeling. It definitely takes speed bumps RR tracks etc much better. I will have the truck at the ranch this weekend,so will get a good feeling for it. I have the same setup on my 2006 Taco & it is & has been great.

Not real sure. Had mine installed by a custom shop, alignment is perfect so all is good. I am on a pro comp 6 inch lift front spindles if that makes a difference. I do know the factory ends was on top.

    Nothing yet .
I installed front and rear stage 3 icons on my Tacoma. I know it’s completely different than the tundra but you should know that icons are a digressive piston shock meaning the ride will be more harsh on small stuff and will get more cushiony on larger stuff. So on normal roads it will feel harsher than say Kings or fox shocks which are linear pistons. Those give the most consistent feel across all surfaces.

all that being said I still loved my icons and thought they were great all around.

Did you see a loss in heigh with that front bumper? I'm about to get a Icon Stage 9 installed and worried I'm going to lose height with a DV8 front bumper. Thanks!

I also have the Icon Stage 4 like Beaver but with a BDS lift.

Question, what are folks using for bump stops in their rear? I am about to add custom Alcan leaf springs and want to add bump stops at the same time.
Beaver mentioned he added the Icon hydraulic bumps... for looks. I was wondering if anyone else has run these +/- other aftermarket leaf mounted bump stops?
Icon said they should work if I play with the size of leaf-mounted Bumps by playing with suspension cycle

The Icon hydraulic bumps are pricey ($750) so if they are only for looks I do not want to drop that kind of cash.

I had air bags on until now so I have no more factory bumps, looking to add something to work with my shocks (travel of shocks is matched to lift on the truck)

Would love to hear what other 6-7" lifted trucks are handling rear bumps.

If you take a look at your leaf springs the bolts hand down towards the ground. By flipping it you they are no longer exposed to damage. Before I got the flip kit my U-bolts looked like crooked fingers because I dragged them over rocks. They had to be cut off.

Thanks. That makes sense. Every time I read about flip kits it seemed like it was to flip the leafs to lower the truck.
