Phone App 2019 tundra (same problem with our 2019 4runner)

If you are using the hands-free feature to talk on the phone, calls are dropped after two minutes or so and system cannot be used again until the vehicle is restarted (occurring with iPhone 8 and 10). Effective 1/1/21 in our state (VA) holding the phone while driving now a violation so this is a problem, especially given that I'm on the road in my truck 4-5 hours per day. Dealership not being accountable indicating it is a "phone" issue and not a vehicle issue (they replaced Bluetooth unit in the 4runner we have but did not solve). Any insights would be appreciated.

I could be wrong though I believe to have read something on here pertaining to the newer iOS software is the issue. What iOS version(s) are those phones on?

Is i OS 14.3 the fix?

Current phone version is 14.3

 

iOS14 appears to be the problem. I personally stayed on 13.3.1 and have no issues.
