Looks good, but it seems like if anything was bolted to the top it would block the clock and info screen...

I hear you but seeing how limited the info screen is on the gen 2 I can live with it :)
I ordered one. We'll see how that goes ;)

I actually have one of these sitting on the shelf awaiting install. I’ve been debating what I want to mount to it and how it will all sit together. So far I’m thinking a midland radio, garmin in reach mount, and possibly a iPad mount.

Did y'all end up getting them mounted? If so, how much "bouncing" or vibration passes through the plate? I have a phone and ipad mount screwed into the speaker grill that would normally be there, and my phone mount (bulletpoint) bounces up and down even on concrete. Looking for a solution to at least stop some of the bouncing

This seems to be the consensus from everyone who has it, ordering tonight, thank you for the input!

Don’t forget 07 and 08’s have dash board flexing issues. Notice when you go over a bump on these glorious La roads if the center section of the dash bounces.

oof, yep they are quite terrible, I didn't know that was a generation problem. Yes the center of my dash definitely flexes, I always just thought it was the mounts I had on it; do you know if there is any solution to it?

Do you know of any threads on this? I couldn't find any

Yes and no, they do have threads about it on the “other” tundra site. Look up sinking dash. That’s how I found out about the 07-08’s with this problem. My front A-pillars wouldn’t lineup properly no matter what I did to adjust them. I suppose you might be able to add some sort of strapping under the dash that runs side to side for support but at the end of the day is it worth the work?
I’d like to get the same mount system but that’s a hefty price for a phone holder.

Yeah I didn’t want to justify it at first, but if it holds my phone mount and iPad mount when I go wheeling and at least doesn’t shake the phone up and down as bad, then I’d say it’s worth it. It also keeps me from having to buy a new speaker grill for right there since I drilled a couple holes in it

This looks good, but how hard is the installation?

I don't understand why you have to remove the radio and parts of the front dash.

I just installed mine this past weekend; install wasn't that difficult, I've removed my radio a couple times. There are plenty of YT videos on it. You have to remove the radio because the dash plate bolts through the dash, it doesn't just screw into the dash from the top side

    Thanks.
I ordered mine and I should get it any day now.
I watched some YouTube videos, and I thought I would give it a whack.

I couldn’t quite find any YouTube videos worth watching (on installing the mount itself), but if you have some questions shoot them my way

I just did the install as well.
The below video is not specifically for the ICS mount, but it shows how to remove the pieces of the dash.
Unlike most YouTube videos, this one is actually pretty accurate and it is as easy as they make it look; although I still managed to break one clip.
Between the video and the written instructions on the ICS website, no instructions are provided in the box, it's pretty easy to figure out how it all fits together.
I wanted all my screws to match, so in addition to ordering the mount, I ordered two sets of 1" screws to mount my 2 1/2" Ram ball mounts.
1" screws were recommended, but depending on the location you want to mount the ball, they may be too long. I had to shorten one of the screws with a hacksaw.
Also, the screws didn't fit in the holes of the Ram mounts, and I had to enlarge the holes with a drill, no big deal, just surprising.
The product itself is rock solid and I can't imagine it will give me any issues.
    I am very satisfied.

P.S. I found it super helpful to have an extended length 10mm socket to fit over the long screws in the back of the mount. I can't believe I actually had one.
