I want to get my calipers painted red. Right now the stock uncoated ones look bland.

I have a powder coater that I do business with sometimes, but I don't want to disassemble the rotors and bleed brakes and all that stuff myself since I don't know how to.

Is there a company that does caliper powder coating?

I live in Metro Detroit Michigan

Most P/C. places can do most anything. If your asking to do powder coating while still installed, then probably not. The prep work and process will require them to be removed.

I believe many just paint them, installed and all. Just mask off areas around it.

Spray or Brush on. I've heard brush on is easier to control and lasts longer.

regarding power coating: Call a few shops and ask, that will give you a definitive answer. Even if my shop does it here, yours might not. But to be honest, I don't think you'll find a PC shop that will do the bleeding and removing.

I don't think that a powder coat shop will want to put used calipers into their oven. Any off gassing can cause contamination issues with their equipment. Contamination is the biggest adhesion and cosmetic issue for a powder coater. Another thing to consider is what will the powder coating do at high brake temperatures.

It will be very $$$ for a coater to strip and clean a used caliper. Best to paint and clear.

I know I'm a little late to this party but I was on here searching if anyone had pictures of painted calipers on the tundra with TSS wheels and saw this post. I've done 3 of my own cars with the dupli color BCP400 ceramic paint Kit (brush on) which is $25 on Amazon right now. I have had great results with it.

I painted the calipers on one car that had 110k miles on it up here in the rust belt. I just took my time and a dremel with a couple wire wheels to get the crud off then cleaned them REALLY well with some brake cleaner, use plenty of brake cleaner (well ventilated area). Its all in the prep work. I put another 90k miles on that car before I got rid of it and a quick blast from the electric pressure washer and they always looked brand new. my biggest issue with doing the ones on the tundra is having enough room to get it up on 4 jack stands so I can take my time to do the job and let it sit for a day or two.
