Wondering if anyone who's been running the 6112's has any trouble with them before I put the stockers back on. Yes, I'm still trying to get to the bottom of WTF is causing the trac issue that by now even non members have heard me bitching about.

Mine have been on for a couple months with no issues. They're set on the second ring from the bottom.

Have you tried a VSC zero point calibration?

    Zero issues with mine.
Yeah, when I got my alignment done, the dude told me I had to get a zero point calibration or else it would make my traction control go off when accelerating on turning. He said it was common on lifted Tundras. It was 10 bucks more in top of the alignment. No issues with my trac

No issues with mine. I have them set at highest setting and have about 3k miles on them.

Thanks guys. I had@lotsoftoys do the zpc and alignment after the tires went on hoping that was it. It didn't take care of it. Had my local guy Dave run techstream and it showed that the zero point was correct. I think I've got close to 6k on the shocks now. No issues until the tires. So probably around 4K on the suspension before the trac started going all stupid. Just wondering. Local tech said to take the lift off and see if it gets better. Lotsoftoys is thinking it might be the lift to. But he hasn't actually seen the truck since we started talking about the trac. I think I'll wait until after having him check it out before going through the hassle of switching out to the stock CO's. I've already put the rear end back to stock except the shocks and sway bar. No way either of those are setting it off. I really don't see how the lift was fine for several thousand miles, then the tires and now this. It sure seems like it's something with the computer system. But no dash lights and no codes.

That's just it, the 6112's seem great. So how in the hell can a little 2.5 inch lift be the cause of this when that makes my truck one of the little ones around here.

How's the ride on the second from the bottom? How much lift did you get, enough to make it look good? If I do pull mine off it'll be to drop it down a bit. I'm thinking second from the top. No need to push the ucas to the max now that I'm on nearly stock size tires.

Ride isn't changed enough to notice. Got just enough lift to be really close when I tow the boat. Hobbit-sized Wife is 4'10", so no need to make getting in and out any tougher either!

When you say really close when towing your boat, do you mean close to level? How much higher than stock is the front end when it's parked without a load?

Had mine over a year, not on problem.
Id try the zero point again from a Toyota technician. If the problem started after the tires, then they are the most likely culprit.

Cool, I was sceptical about it having to do with the shocks. I'll leave the CO's alone till@lotsoftoys can look at it again. Dan, what setting do you have yours on?

Top setting. I went up in tire size after my ZPC was done and still have no probs.

Yep,closer to level when towing. Front end is just under 2" higher than stock.

What size wheels and tires did you go with? Did you do anything with the rear end?

No. I haven't had any problems with my 6112s either. I run them at the highest setting too. I really like them. Been on for a couple of months now but I don't drive very much. My tire size is 285/75/18 I believe.

275/70-18 BFG KO2's. Nothing to the rear end.

Thanks guys. Seems like whatever is going on with mine shouldn't be related to the 6112's or having them on the top setting.

Trac goes off when it doesn't need to. Just in certain turns at around 35, turned in the same amount in either direction when the nose dives under a little. Techstream showed the wheel speed difference is outside the parameters. That was when I was on 285/70/18. Swapped them out for 285/65 and tried the stockers and it didn't go away. Gonna have @LOTSOFTOYS look at it soon, before I change anything with the front end.

Gotcha. Could it just be a bad sensor that needs to be replaced? Also one other suggestion I would have is if you disconnect the battery, make sure to disconnect both positive and negative sides. This helps to clear everything out. I know that you already did the ZPC. Just some ideas that I'm trying to help with. I would disconnect the battery completely and wait about 15 minutes before reconnecting. Then try the ZPC again. Hopefully this might help. But you have probably tried all of this. GLWFix.

I haven't tried disconnecting the battery. Techs haven't said anything about that. Can't hurt to try it.

Techstream showed nothing wrong with the sensors. Just the wheel speeds themselves. Hopefully Jace will look at it and find something and simple to fix.

Gotcha. Well if it is a wheel speed issue is the ABS light on by chance? Do you think reprogramming would help fix it if it had the right tire size inputted into the computer? Just trying to help. I'm not trying to irritate you. I used to work for a diesel performance company and the issue you are having is something that plagued the guys with the diesels with lifts and bigger tires. Unfortunately they used to have to reprogram the computer to fix their situations. I'm not quite up to speed with the Tundras yet.

As I understand it there is no reprogramming for tire size on our trucks. And I'm not running big tires now. I'll see what Jace finds, hopefully next Saturday.
