Im about to pull the trigger with these in 295/70R18 on OEM TRD wheel (not the pro) plan on adding spidertrex 1.25 spacers. I have a 3/1.5 lift so I think with some minor trimming I will fit these nicely. How are the Falkens in mud?

Thanks Derf. With the spacers, you may have to push out the front wheel well liners. Some have done that with a heat gun just to bend the plastics. Without the spacers, you will likely have to trim the back corners of the Off Road skid plate. I did that on my previous truck and it was a 2 hr. job on the skid plate including painting.

I can't really comment on the mud performance. We really only have a few weeks of mud here during snow melt in April and I just put mine on. However, I've heard they are not the best, but clear easily with wheel spin. I don't expect them to be nearly as good as an M/T tire. I found a bunch of reviews on YouTube when I was shopping around and narrowed my choices to the Nitto Grapplers, DuraTracs, KO2's and Toyo ATIII's. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

Keep us posted on your progress.

No skid plate issues...2020 got rid of the "wings' on the skid plate. I love Ridge grapplers... just could not pass up $205 per tire for the wildpeaks!

Cooper AT3 XLT is what I'm going with for my next set of tires. Mounting them on stock OR 18" wheels but will probably go with a 275/70. Thought about going with a 295/70 but what to keep the stock suspension (for now).

Anyone know about the tire wear on lifted Tundras? Is it a tire thing?

Another vote for the Cooper AT3 XLTs. Super quiet, balanced well, and one of the lighter tires in the category.
275/70r18 on an 18x9" wheel, looks great and will fit on stock suspension, but also look great on a leveled truck as well.

I have Cooper St Maxx's, and they're absolutely killer offroad, snow, ice, etc., but they start to get loud after 10k miles. They also were a total pain to balance.

My next set will be Wildpeak's on my f250.

I like my Mickey thompson ATZs; had a set on my tacoma before this as well. Almost went Toyo this time- I have 295/70r17s and BFG didn't have that size.

I currently have the Good year Ultraterrains. They are pretty good in the snow. My previous tire was the Cooper AT3 XL. Same as the xlt just with less aggressive sidewall. They were ok. After 15k miles they got louder and would flat spot after sitting overnight. My next tire will probably be Firestone AT2 in a P rated 285/70r17. This truck doesn't need E rated tires in my opinion. My current tires are 58lbs and the Firestones are 41. That is a noticeable difference in mpgs and acceleration. I dropped 1.5 going from KO 1's to the Goodyears. 20201008_122448.jpg

I’ve had the wildpeaks, and loved them.

I have recently gone up to 285/75 in Yokohama X-at, only because the wildpeaks were on such a long back order.

So far very happy with them, including a 9” dumping of snow.

Cooper AT3 are a pretty good tire. They don’t hold a candle to Duratracs in a more off road environment IMO.

A tire thread puts a smile on my face.

Falken Wildpeak. Working for me. YMMV.

Just upgraded from stock tires to Cooper AT3 XLT's. I'll be honest, they weren't my first choice but after several supplier issues for 295/70 tires, these were the ones available and I gave them a try. Put around 2,000 km on them so far and they are waaaay better than I expected. Been handling well in the heavy rains we've been having and some light snow too.
