Just got the p1445 code for my 05 DC, was wondering how many of you guys had luck with the plug and play bypass kit. seems to be a good deal, 200 for the kit and probably 200 for labor vs paying 2k to do it the "legit" way.

Go with the Hewitt bypass, I installed it years ago with no issues since. Instillation is easy.

Hewitt kit has been installed close to a year. No issues, no codes.

    I have a 2005.....
I’ve not only got the SAIS P0418/P0419 codes but also the dreaded P2445 that gets thrown secondary to having the ‘Cold Weather Glitch’.
At the time I looked into the Hewitt option.... The 2005 4.7 had to be hard wired install.... and the add on pump proxy’s..... By the time I ordered the components my 05 had to have ... pay for it to be professionally installed.... it was a lot of $.... that wasn’t going to prevent the P2445 when it was being thrown due to its ECM glitch.......
After 2 ignition starts... I’d be back into Limp.
Although for a very long time my method of clearing the codes was by opening the hood... using a disconnect switch to the battery my husband installed.... that gets really old fast n the winter.... so I parked it.... and when spring hit this year... I had this thought just spring in front of me.....
    My Affordable FIX
I went to Auto Zone..... bought a $59 Bluetooth code reader that has a mobile phone app..... It takes me a few finger swipes....and through the app I clear the code while on my way.
Someday I might get around to the Hewitt....

I installed one years ago in My GX470. It worked for a short amount of time but the codes ultimately came back and would go into limp mode. The codes were cleared multiple times. In the end it was removed and proper repairs were completed and never had a problem since.
