    Dealer just told me there's no ETA on the OEM alloy running boards that supposedly to be on the truck, I always liked the idea of a power running boards, but how is it in winter? does it get stuck?

    Function before sparkle.
    If you keep them clean and lubricated, they will be good. I wouldn't suggest removing your front mudflaps if you go that route.

    Yea, that's the plan.

    can't quite believe how much wait time it'll be for running boards, at the moment I'm told "probably early Spring" , I can get into the truck fine, but my wife being shorter isn't too thrilled about that.

    Depending on how you use the truck, there are great options for sliders from companies like CBI and RCI. The aluminum models are both strong and have a good step platform.

    There's a guy on here (cant remember his name, his picture is a Pittsburg Steelers logo). I remember him saying for snow/cold weather to pack the gears with grease and cover and hit the connections with dielectric grease.
    Maybe search around here and you can find them.
